Sorry, missed this earlier dragon. I understand all this but as I moved the phase I expected it to reverse as I moved up or down the wave form. In other words a triangle or sine should start at the top of the wave instead of the bottom right? This didn't happen until I started to push the amount into positive and negative territory. Still trying to figure out what's going on with this polarity button add on tho.EvilDragon wrote:Phase is there to simply decide the point in the waveform you would like to start on when modulating. Of course this doesn't mean anything if you have freerunning LFOs, but for gate retriggered ones it matters a great deal.

To start the sine or triangle at the top of the wave, set Phase to 25.0.
Polarity button makes the LFO unipolar instead of bipolar. Let's say your filter cutoff is set to 50%. With modulation depth of 100%, a bipolar LFO will sweep cutoff from 50% to 100% down to 0% then back to 50% again. When you toggle LFO unipolar mode, it will sweep cutoff only from 50% to 100%, with 75% being midpoint.

oooohhhhhhh. this is whats confusing me. I just assumed it reversed polarity but it didn't act that way...well, sometimes it did...for good reason
