Some days ago I bought this beautiful singing bowl:
...

Gorgeous, I would love one of these, I only have some smaller ones and a couple of pairs of Chakra Tingsha cymbals.
And I got her for an amazing price on eBay, I could well have paid 5 times as much - first I checked out my favorite stores and online dealers to get a price reference for a bowl that size, then I placed my bid dividing the average price by 4, someone almost snitched it from me 6 seconds before the auction ended, but my original bid was high enough, so she was mine all the way :)
It is gorgeous, definite 'score'! and the vid/sound is way cool. :tu:

[aside] Back in the mid-to-late 80's, and throughout the 90's, my 'ex' and I were referred to as "the bowl people", by several shop owners, where we acquired upwards of 40 of them, as well as other cool percussive toys.

Had to sell them all, and my studio gear, 'bout 12 years ago [had an accident, w/no medical insurance... shit happens], but am very gladly 'collecting' again, as of late.
I can see people getting into bowl hoarding :) - I only have 7 so far, spread over a 2 octave range - and will only buy more if I need them for another sound library project, but then I'll probably just plan more libraries around getting more bowls :scared:

Kaleidoscope impro is wondrous indeed!

I think your wife deserves a diamond in trade for your kaleidoscope time..

Her will I suggest the Kaleidoscope userbase send diamonds to Simon for his sound experiments!!

They will make nice sounds dropped into those bowls too I'd bet!
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

just in case, watching carefully the video, isn't there a reverb at the FX track, likely a sub-mixing track so perhaps even two ?

- BTW Thanks for the technical lesson, ...once again !

:)

Thank's for the nice sonic poetry.

My pleasure - yes, there is B2 and ÜberMod, each on a Bus, ÜberMod also being sent into B2 (Buss 6->Bus 5) - the volume of both FX Busses is controlled by a VCA in LogicX.

I won't be able to make the intro deadline but will try the demo. What are the demo restrictions?

30 minutes time limitation, AFAIK (and no saving in any ways)

Actually 30 min before you simply need to reload the plug-in.

80 hours total usage time before you can not reset it anymore. Counted only when the plug-in is instantiated...

BTW, I am making an entire universe of "musical tunings" for "generative algo-comp" sort of applications right now... some very cool stuff...

AV1 has some like this. AV2 will have an entire universe. :o

Thanks, appreciated; if you could extend the intro period until the end of the month, I may be able to purchase.

Sorry, still a noob with these tools but could i export an image i made with virtual ans and then import it into kaleidoscope?

More important i can confirm that the latest version works much better with my Macbook pro and now i think i can't resist since kaleidoscope is really a unique tool for sound design. Combined with B2 it's indeed a TRIP ;)

Yes sure. You can use images from third party tools. Just be sure they follow the specs at the end of the manual.

In 1.1.0, which will be the next update, (unless we manage to squeeze in some micro fixes before then) we will significantly augment the ability to share images with third party tools as many have requested earlier in this thread. i.e. for the couple of you who thought we were not listening, we most certainly were/are. Your feedback is important to us. :tu:

Thanks my friend! :tu: Welcome to the party. You will not be disappointed, I can guarantee you that! :tu: This thing has already been my obsession for at least five years, and I can see it easily continuing for another 5, or 50, or 500!! Come on immortality! I need another 460 years to explore KS!! :D

(FYI things on Retina displays are still not quite 100% perfect. GUI responsiveness is still slow compared to non-retina displays, but this is at least much better to than it was in 1.0.0, and it no longer drains CPUs resources to the extent that it interferes with DSP processing... We are in communication with Apple about trying to get things 100% perfect on retina displays in terms of GUI speed/responsiveness...)

with a screen name "Cinebient" it would be almost a crime for you NOT to have KS. :D

Don't forget you already put your (software) child(s) to the world. That could be another kind of immortality :)

Or maybe there is at least the chance to create an A.I. of yourself in the future by combining your tools and open the space-time-continuum ;)

There are many software today put on the market just for making money. Of course you will do it too but i also have the feeling that 2caudio is an obsession, which is great. There is no perfect tool and like a good symphony it maybe work but it will never be finished really if you have an obsession.
Beside my normal music creations i have a long time project which i think i maybe will never finish in my life... but that is a least a lifetime motivation :hihi:

I just started auditioning the demo in Studio One 64 bit latest version, win 8.1 32 gb ram.
I pressed play in the host and started auditioning presets with both white noise and also wave files.
The playback cursor kept jumping back and forth as it stumbled through the timeline making the sound very stuttery.
Then I went to streaming real-time video on internet and the audio was jumping (starting/stopping/starting/stopping) just like with kaleidoscope in S1.
When I closed the S1 song instance, the jitteriness vanished from the video transmission.
Is this a bug or something simple to fix by RTM?
