He really wants to buy it and hopes for a price reduction.

Couldn't be farther from the truth. Obviously you haven't seen my VST collection posted elsewhere.

Do you think I really NEED Sylenth1?

Please, be serious.

Yes I know your list.

I didn't say you need it btw. :) I was just using some kitchen psychology for the fun of it. :clown:

From my last buys I didn't need any, but I still did buy.

If people would start ony buying things they need, society as we know it would collapse instantly. :D

Don't get me wrong. Sylenth1 has a nice sound. It cuts through the mix and does what it does well. Had I discovered it when I first started doing this stuff, I might have purchased it IF I didn't find something for about the same amount of money that did more or was more flexible. It doesn't help that my first 2 synths were Synthmaster and Zebra 2. It's really kind of hard to top that with a 9 year old synth.

Post

Zebra is even older... not sure what age has to do with it anyway, there's stuff that came after Sylenth which doesn't sound as good.

:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

(IMHO Sylenth *is* the new Minimoog, e.g. in terms of importance for contemporary music)
These Google trends make another difference between a Minimoog and Sylenth1 very obvious: you cannot torrent a Minimoog. Or at least no one has tried yet. :hihi:

It turns out Sylenth1 is even more sought after than Sylenth !

However both of these pale in comparison to the mighty Zebra ;)

A lot of people are into Zebras!

Yes because then you'll discover how crappy real analog synths sound.........
Moogs maybe, but there are some great analogues around.

Good enough for thousands of talented musicians to use them on countless legendary records though.

Then, one can buy gear, not talent, .... nor ears
You realize that's all we had back then right ? Those "legendary records" would have been peppered with VSTi's if we had them back then.......

I sold Zebra 2 (regretted it but not too much) and I own Synthmaster but hardly ever open it.....but Sylenth gets used every time I start a synth based composition and I don't do Trance or EDM or whatever other alphabets you want to use..........

It's got character.......that I like a lot.....nine years old or not.

Pathetic joke. Seems you have as much talent as an humorist than in all other domains. :tu:

Hmmm. I did not wait your remarkable comments ( ... ) to realize that some people have the necessary talent to make synths sound right. These people are usually called musicians btw, and they use musical instruments, like, sometimes, analog synthesizers . Your anti analog synths crusade just sounds weird ( imho, etc ), but well, I guess nobody cares, so, just carry on
