cheers
I just shipped one to Ireland and the cost to me was $3.20, so for now I'll eat the $0.70 and go with the standard $1.50 S&H.
Yipiee - thats me! (eeek.. well I hope it is :) )

Intel - i'll send ya the money if you want? Did I do something bad?

no, no. it was poor planning on my part for not taking into account foreign shipping. you're fine. providing that customs doesn't get picky you should receive a package in 4-7 days.

have fun with it.

What does IDM mean and why is Glitch called Glitch?

Thanks Intel!

Looking forward to it.

i would love to order that cd but i'm still waiting for an email-reply concerning my request. so, do not having paypal makes that order-process a bit more complicated because transferring money outside europe is extremely expensive. i would love to get an reply, maybe it's possible to put about 20 euro in an envelope and send it to you by snailmail? maybe just drop me a privatemessage to solve that issue :-) ? i'm pretty impressed 'bout that sounds. WOW! love 'em!!!

I would accept an international money order if you could obtain one of those.

do you have an alternate payment service to recommend? I hear lots of europeans harping on Kagi, but I've never tried it.

I certainly don't want to chase away sales, so drop me a private message and we can discuss payment methods.

I love the glitchy percussion lines - can't wait for my copy to arrive ...

There's another demo track up if anyone's still on the fence regarding the sounds. This one isn't as noisey as the first one, and shows how the sounds can be employed in a more pop-oriented setting.

:!: (this board needs a "thumbs up" emoticon)

I've heard back from one satisified customer. the biggest complaint that I've heard so far is that my definition of a "pad" and his definition of a "pad" are slightly different in that he felt some of the pad samples were more fx- or perc-sounding.

if any of the other customers would be kind enough to give me some feedback, either in private or public, I'm open to any suggestions.

(note to the peanut gallery: I said "customers")

here's my feedback:

use another postal service. Looked like my disc was used in a friggin frisbee toss contest

I haven't loaded it up yet, I just got it yesterday, so I'll have a go at it & come back here in a few minutes.

Hmmmm... I'm interested, but I don't have a paypal account. I've used Kagi before, it does what it says on the tin :)

ok..

first, I didn't know there was impulse responses in the kit, so a big + for that.

Drum loops are mostly pure glitch, with the best @ 130bpm. What that means is that if that's your gig, you'll be happy. If you are expecting loud, resonating sub beats, this ain't for you. This is minimalist stuff.

I think the dark synth stuff could bear a bit more variety & possibly some more high end presence, most of it is very low end with no upper transients.

As much as I like the samples in the 'pads' section, I must agree that these are not pads as I have come to know the term. BUT, there's some really cool lead/FX sounds in that folder that I dig alot.

Bottom line:

As a new venture it's worth showing your support to. I have no regrets getting it & it fills a niche I was a bit lacking in quite nicely. If you're after IDM stuff, you can't go wrong here.

ciao,

The convolution IRs that come with it are literally terrifying. :D I mean that in a good way. I'm almost afraid to try them out - and this is coming from someone who makes weird IRs as a business. You should make a whole library of IRs. Not that I really want the competition, but these really are good.

The 'pads' range from downright gorgeous evolving animated pads to crazy fx to lead lines to stuff that I'd almost classify as minimal percussion. A ton of variety here. The pads and drones are worth the price of entry IMHO.

I don't make IDM but I do make dark ambient and I definitely can see several ways in which I'll use this library. For the price, it's a steal.

I'll see what I can do about getting an account set up there. I'll let you know when I'm ready to serve your needs.

thank you. I appreciate the feedback and I'll keep your suggestions in mind as I start working on the next series of samples.

flattery will get you everywhere, but I already own a copy of Spectral Relativity. and I'd never dream of going into direct or indirect competition against that set.

thanks again for the feedback, guys. you're both on my christmas card mailing list now.
