Have you followed the Personal Audio v. Adam Carolla Podcast case? They crowd sourced their legal fees and went at them full force and won... if by winning you mean losing a lot of money to lawyers for a case that had no foundations in any truth. But, it saved all podcasting as we know it, for if they had caved and settled, they'd have gone after every podcast that made a penny.

I followed that too. I don't believe they actually "won" in the sense that they got a ruling on the issue. I believe they entered an agreement where Personal Audio withdrew their complaint. Plus, in doing so, Carolla & Co. built a pretty good book (so to speak) that could be used against PA if they tried to pull those shenanigans again with another podcaster. So, a victory to be sure, but not legal precedent.

Oh yeah, true. Slick move on Personal Audio's part. Honestly though, the whole thing is a big steaming pile of sh!t. We need politicians with some integrity to step up and stop this nonsense.
