Bought it! I love it already. I have two suggestions.

1:
I found something annoying, probably a bug: if I set the rate of the phaser (stoned or flanger does not matter) to 0 (zero), the phaser still moves. I want to be able to completely stop the phaser at a certain frequency or atleast have the rate go as slow as 32/1. Or to change the frequency by hand, to be able to automate it in the DAW would also be a nice feature.
It seems that changing the rate below 1 doesn't really have any effect?

2:
Is it possible to add 16/1 and 32/1 (and even slower rates?) to the LFO's?
It would be great for making slow evolving pads and build ups etc. :)

in short: I can't make up my mind and postpone Hexagon news to a subsequent (and naturally free) .x update...
Where's that one YouTube vid of a couple wasps owning the shit out of like ten thousand honeybees? Just loop that video.

1. i´d like that too...
2. you can divide or multiply the lfo´s choosen rate with the rate knob in the lfo section... for your need you choose 8/1 and set the rate knob to -1 for 16/1 or -2 for 32/1... you see it goes much further than 32/1...
Everyone knows more than I do...

Urs, Zebra2 and Hive owner here. I think this stinks.. Yes, Hive is a great synth without utilizing the hexagon, but leaving the hexagon (which takes up a decently-large portion of the screen) blank because of indecisiveness or non-development is a bit of a cop-out to me.

I'm honestly not trying to stir the pot here - but generally on these forums, there is a lot of u-he love (and rightfully so). But I think people with divergent opinions should voice them as well. So here I am. I think leaving the hexagon blank until a .x release is weak...a reputable company like u-he should be better.

There is no U-He horde... it only exists in the minds of the feeble and weak-willed.

I don't like the blank hexagon either, but Hive is nicely featured as it is. I see it like this: if the UI of the current version gave no access to it, nobody would know about it and so nobody would miss it. Urs is pretty vocal about his development plans, more so than other devs. The upside to this is that we know what to look forward to; the downside is the waiting, which, as Tom Petty rightly tells us, is always the hardest part.

Meanwhile, why not insert the animated waveform (like in Bazille) as a place holder? Eye candy makes the synth sound better, after all.

It really doesn't bother me at all; if they say they are going to put something there, than that's what they'll do. It's just about being patient until then :).

Well, you should take a look at the UI of Uhbik X if you really want to see a UI left blank.

Huh? - There's a lot of stuff in the hexagon: Effects + Arp/Sequencer

We just haven't found a good use for the current "WIP - Work In Progress" page. Which we simply took out.

Cheers,

So U-He lets us play with the beta and you object to the fact that it is unfinished? I was happy to pay for the finished version at a discount and play with the unfinished version while I waited-- yes, a little longer than I expected but nonetheless confident that the wait will be worthwhile.

Stinks? From where I am playing it smells pretty good. Maybe you should have waited, eh?
