I'm in the US, and I want to buy ACE.
According to the website, ACE costs 69 EUR. That should be about 75 USD at the current exchange rate.
When I put it in my basket, though, it tells me it costs 85 USD (about 77 EUR). If I ask it to show prices in euros, it says it costs 57 euros (a bargain!). Most other currencies (from Yen, to Krone, to Baht) hover around about 59 USD (53 EUR).
So my question is this: What does ACE cost?

Currently ACE costs 69€ including VAT within Europe and 85$ excluding VAT outside of Europe. There's also a set price in GBP, but I don't recall the exact amount.
The Euro has gone down in recent months so we will eventually have to adjust the Euro price, or make it dynamic like we do for pretty much all our other plug-ins. We want to do so once we add something to ACE, and catch the opportunity to make it 89$ everywhere.
If you can catch the Euro price converted to another currency while outside the EU, go for it

Thanks for the quick response! Maybe this should be sticky for non-EU customers who are (for the first time in many years) watching the Euro fall.
But what's this? Adding things to ACE? I thought I read recently that you rarely make major modifications to a product once its released.

It depends on the product, really. Zebra has seen massive improvements (new modules etc) over the years, as did Diva. ACE, MFM2 and Filterscape however felt very set in stone. Uhbik got a new addition once, and we've planned more.sramsay wrote:Thanks for the quick response! Nevertheless, we're thinking of adding a different filter option to ACE. As in, swap the current filters for Bazille filters in the Circuit Bending section.
The main thing that keeps us from adding features is the UI. Many UIs need to be reworked and brought up to date. It's easy in Zebra or Diva where we can just swap or add panels. It's difficult in plug-ins that are based on dated Photoshop files which beg to be revamped.

This is all very exciting. I'm still trying to get my head around modular synths (I've been building things with Audulus, XILS 3 CM, and so forth). I can tell Bazille is too much for me at this point, so my plan is to pick up ACE and then Bazille at some point later (thus putting me on the proper path to the mighty Berlin Modular).
One thing is for sure: Both of these synths sound absolutely incredible, and I'm actually starting to realize that moving virtual patch cables around is probably, in the end, more intuitive than any mod matrix, no matter how well thought out.
Sounds like I should pull the trigger.

Hmm. Except it won't let me purchase the product. I get to "Buy Now," click it, and nothing happens -- and there don't seem to be any errors or missing fields on the page. I'm using the non-PayPal method.

I was looking at Zebra but it's now 226 Euro (I'm in Belgium)! A year ago, it was probably around 180/185 (VAT included)? That's quite a big difference. Should I wait for a possible adjustment of the Euro price (or the Euro getting stronger against the dollar again)? Just now I have a 50$ voucher from Bitwig which I would love to use (I bought Bitwig, Hive and Bazille last month...) but I will probably be dissapointed if the Euro prices will be adjusted to be dynamic and follow the dollar after my purchase...
Edit: please don't misunderstand me, the products are well worth the price but a 20% raise in price (admittedly, caused by external factors) in one year, is still a lot.

Mmm, just noticed this:
Diva, 179 $. Put it in the basket and you get 138,65 € (VAT excluded) -> so an exchange rate of 1,29 $ for 1 €
Zebra, 199 $. Put it in the basket and you get 186,59 € (again, VAT excluded) -> so an exchange rate of 1,06 $ for 1 €
Hive, 99$. In the basket 92,83 €, which is also 1,06 $ per euro.
Is this an error on the Diva price?
I thought the company was officialy based in Germany so I would expect that the prices would be fixed in Euro and that the dollar prices would be the Euro price x dollar exchange rate of the day.

Hmm.. no it does not ! ACE costs 71,90€, if I put it in Cart it shows:Urs wrote:Currently ACE costs 69€ including VAT within Europe.
EUR 57.98 (plus tax/VAT)
EUR 71.90 (including tax/VAT)
And I live in Finland so I was assumption that 69€ price was correct, but no, I paid that 71,90€ anyway.

You do understand that the exchange rate changes, dont you? He said 'currently'. On March 26th. He did not say 'forever'.MikkoAM wrote:Hmm.. no it does not ! ACE costs 71,90€, if I put it in Cart it shows:Urs wrote:Currently ACE costs 69€ including VAT within Europe.
