The one feature I find myself missing from Zebra 2 is the ability to tune the oscillators to something other that semitones. I would LOVE for there to be an option to tune the oscillators in harmonics as you can in Ace, Bazille and Diva. That is the one feature lacking that makes me prefer working in other synths for (some) FM sounds. Would that be an easy addition to add to Zebra or would it require a major overhaul on the oscillator section?

Hey Stollmeister,
This doesn't completely solve your problem, but I made an Osc that has the first 16 harmonics, 1 for each frame of the wave set. I did it because I'm a big fan of sweeping harmonics with a resonant filter, but this seemed like a much more controlled way of doing the same thing by scanning a wave set. After I got done making it though, I realized there was another benefit to having this set. It makes a great FM modulator because you can just run it into an FM module and change the harmonic ratio by simply moving from frame to frame in the wave set. So, you get a ratio of 1 to 1 by literally selecting the first frame or Wave 1, a ratio of 2 to 1 is the second frame, and so on. Since you have to use a normal oscillator as a modulator, you can only stack one modulator high per lane, but you can have parallel modulators per lane and that leaves your other FM oscillators for doing bigger stacks.
Save this to your ~/Library/Application Support/u-he/Zebra2/Modules/Oscillator folder (I'm on a Mac. Not sure where this is in Windows.) and it will show up as an Oscillator Module Preset in the User directory.

That actually works rather well. I immediately got inspired to design more sounds.
Going up the harmonics reveal some aliasing, but I guess we are really pushing the Zebra oscillator to its limits.

I used spectromorph to isolate individual harmonics without any spill from adjacent harmonics, but the tolerances are pretty tight the higher you go and I don't know if I completely succeeded. This may account for some of the aliasing, but I'm not really sure. But, I'm glad it worked for you!

I would love to see a visual update for all u-he parameters like in the video below.
From around 0:44 and onwards you can see the simple but quite useful visual info effect per parameter regarding modulation. Toggle-able of course.

I agree with tedlogan.
I have often wished for a similar feature. Kontakt has something in that vein too, and it is a great help. It is a great visualization of what's going on and it helps one tremendously in one's workflow.
In Zebra, I sometimes find myself adding a second Envelope to - for instance - open up the cutoff a little more, and then scratch my head when the sound doesn't change. Until I figure out that the other envelope is probably already maxing out the cutoff, so this "extra" cutoff-modulation will have no effect. (Since the circle around the cutoff knob only shows the "floor level" of the cutoff - it gives no indication of the filter having already opened up fully. One just has to "figure it out".) I will then try something else like modulating the EQ to add brightness instead…
Having "extra circles" around the knobs, MOVING - to show the modulation as it is happening - would give a much better view of what's going on in a sound.

Tremor does this too; think FabFilter stuff does as well, not sure. It is very handy to be able to see the modulation.

I just bought Diva a few days ago after buying the two Luftrum banks and playing them
with the 1.3 demo version.
Just fell in love with it and finally (after always delaying) decided that I can't anymore do without Diva for my tracks.![]()
Some typical Vangelis' CS-80 sounds are already very very well emulated.
And i dream of TB303 VCA/VCF/ENV on the Diva. Thats the perfekt 303 clone for me

I want to design Hive OSC layout for TouschOSC application. Not just for controlling like my ZebraTouch, but full-fledged layout having all the functionality of Hive GUI. The main problem that standard approach of mapping OSC to MIDI isn't appropriate for this goal because of lacking feedback from synthesizer to OSC layout, so if you load a preset in GUI OSC layout won't react because Hive won't send MIDI back. Of course there are many other benefits of OSC if comparing to MIDI like high resolution.
So I request OSC support in U-He plugins. It could be made in a way like midiassign.txt file works: the list of custom OSC instructions and corresponding plugin controls.
