Ah... right, I see... I'd thought there was a general problem with dropping files into the composer. Then it seemed to be only one file causing the problem. What appears to have happened is MuLab crashed for some reason (now unsure of cause) and left the .Ovw file corrupt. Dropping the related file onto the Composer repeatably crashed MuLab. Other files worked. Deleting the .Ovw file stopped the crash.

I'll add, again, that I wish there was a nicer way to import a wav file than having to use drag and drop - I can't find the "Stream" option any other way.

Isn't that the "+" button for a track and then select Add Audio Track.
Do i miss something?

You can also draw a new part on an audio track to import an audio file.

About the wave file that didn't load and even caused a crash: If that's repeatable pls mail me (a link to) that wave file for research.

The WAV file is OK. It was the .Ovw file causing the crash. Once I had deleted the .Ovw file, the crash went away. As I've deleted the file, I don't have it to email and I don't know how to recreate the corruption. But MuLab shouldn't crash because a re-creatable file is corrupt - it should act like it's not there and re-create it.
