The other day I did the strangest thing. I thought I'd take a break from coding and have a another shot at tunesmithery.
I like to set up a beat and synths by looping and farting about with midi notes. Y'know get a set of drum sounds, find out which note does what noise, and click and copy and paste away and move stuff about etc. Then get a synthy sound and do the same.
Using Tracktion.
Ahem.
What a heap of shite. I very nearly head-butted the screen. Can I not grab a group o notes and copy them along a bit? If I copy it copies the whole effing clip!
Sucks! I can drag one note but not copy it! AAAAAaaargh!



Oh aye! StepChild. Now I see why it's so needed.

My resolve is err... resolved. This is a humanitarian mission for the mac rackers. I will do my utmost!

I believe if you make a selection and then Ctrl-Click and Drag it, it copies the selected notes.

Note: Just tested, works.

I was selecting notes then right clicking and hitting copy! And expecting to paste. And then expecting to be able to paste again.

Doh!
