Dialing back the drum view after changes the sound (or am I wrong here?).

I suggest that presets are sorted by usage AND view.
Yes how can you switch back to the "simple view" without init the preset there. I see the back to the main button, but how to back the other way?

You can't. It's clearly stated in the PDF. The views are a 'simplified' start for patching, then you can go to full view (or not), but not back.

The presets also aren't linked to the views (yet?).

The skinmode "original plus" makes big problems now ! It simply won't react any more (veeeeeeeeery slow). (Win8 64, Reaper 32, new Presswerk update...)
We know. In Reaper Win 64, please either use the 32bit VST, or the original (not plus) skin. We're onto it, but it's a pretty awkward thing, happens only in that combination.

Hehehe, indeed.

Last year we had a beta version of Presswerk that also had a few views. In that version one could switch back and forth between them. It would preserve whatever parameters could be preserved. However, many parameters couldn't, and sometimes it sounded unexpectedly different. So, people got really confused. It was an unfolding drama, which we stopped by dropping the views back then.

That's why now there's only three ways to get back to a view. All three clearly do not preserve any settings dialed in after leaving it:

- initializing the view with its default settings
- redo a "back to normal" operation
- load a preset saved with the view

This is also why there's a Quick Start Guide now :)

#---

It is the equivalent of having 7 separate plug-ins. One of them can load all presets, the others can only load their own. The obvious advantage of our approach is, you don't need to swap plug-ins in your DAW to try them all on a track!

Ah, thanks, that wasn't too difficult! :-)

Urs & all at U-He,

congrats! love the update of this fabulous plugin (hell, which U-He plugin isn't?!?!)!!!

one question will the GUI size preference also be available in Satin (and all others that don't have it yet)?

that thing is HUGE on a 13" MBP screen!

wow, these looks really great!

so are these views then setting parameters to certain settings and relationships in the backgroud. For example, in easy compressor>response, this would seem to be a setting and relationship of attack and release.

If so, is there some sort of breakdown of each presets "characteristics" and relationships? The quick guide doesnt really give that. For example, vocal compressor, what is "Enhancer" really doing?

Maybe I'm missing the boat here. Obviously the skins look great, and for sure I think they will add useablility, though call me picky, but I'd like a little more info if possible about the settings and relationships :)

cheers!!

edit: Doh! didnt realize there is a full write up in the actual manual!! This is what I was looking for! :tu:

Great update - liking the new improved views a lot. I'm having a problem however, where Presswerk will crash Cubase 8.0.10 during any render-in-place operation if HQ mode is enabled - non HQ works fine in this respect (also submitted report to SB's "issues" forum).

You're in an amazing state - so stay there.

I probably misunderstood. Is this an Easter 'gift' (free) for us to enjoy, or an updated version of the demo? I downloaded the linked file, but it is a Demo. A link is provided, to buy the actual $129 plug-in though. In any case, it looks nice, but the OP is vague, imo. Maybe there is a hidden license in the download, or I didn't read careful enough. :D

It's the second one. The biggest change is the new 6 compressor views. The .zip file has a separate PDF explaining each one.

We're gonna release this shortly ("coming soon, really!"). This thread is a test run (also to see how people can cope with the concept of views and their non-switch-forth-and-back nature that caused so much trouble before we released V1.0 last year)

:tu: Great job! I'm sold.

But at my end, it's the only plugin in your roster where VST3 sidechaining is sorely missed. Is VST3 really too unstable to use? (Sorry for sounding like a skipping reco/Sorry for sounding like a skipping reco/Sorry for sounding like a skipping reco/Sorry for sounding like a skipping recording.....)
