Okay, so whilst i am enjoying this plugin my main concern is CPU usage, One of the key selling points for me was low cpu usage and even though im running an Intel i7 3770K, SSD, 16GB ram, Hackintosh (OSX Yosemite) (64bit) Ableton is showing 20% cpu usage when on 16 unison. I know 16 is going to drain, but 20%? Diva uses about as much. Hopefully this gets sorted before actual launch or im going to have to go back to sylenth1 & sell on my license, as Hive was going to replace Sylenth1 as my general synth.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I should also say that in my test Hive was the only active plugin. Tested on Ableton & Bitwig both 64 bit

Hmmmm, that's weird. I took part in the Hive OSC, had 42 Hive instances (lots of unison, 16x2 OSCs on quite a few) and could play the whole track through and CPU hit 38 max (iirc).

Ableton's CPU meter is not a real CPU meter.

He's on windows using mac os with a hackintosh set up.

Live will show less cpu usage with more instances created.
It's done this for a long time now, and you can notice it with other synths as well.

Yeah, for some plug ins Live CPU meter doesn't scale linearly as you run more instances. It may keep showing 20%, but for 10 instances.

ALso I have an i5 760, win 7 64 bits, Live 9 and last version of hive and I haven't seen any patch use more than 12%, the normal usage for me is 7%.

Yup, I'm on WIN7. I know, not compatible, but I figured I'd at least mention that that the CPU hit isn't nearly that on Windows (sorry, I actually thought about it while typing my first post, but forgot to add
