MMBAutopan parameter meanings and use

Hi, in the synchronisation editor one can set the Length, Type and Phase parameters. I cannot see what the Type 'tuplet' setting is for as I can't see where to set the tuplet value. Also the Length parameter has very limited values - is there no method for setting length to values such as 5/3 or 11/10 etc ?

Tuplet's are like triplets, but 5 . We speculated with 7 and stuff, but it was an overkill and pretty useless eventually. 5/3 cannot be set indeed I'm afraid. Sorry, but this won't be done.

Oh, that's a real shame. One of the nice things about Reaper is they tend not to make assumptions about musical usefulness and just go with simple maths - so any tuplet is allowed eg 11.3/7.15 because that is easy enough in terms of the maths and programming and does not restrict the possible outputs. Tuplets like 5/3, 5/4, etc, have been used for hundreds of years. Chopin has 7's and 11/6 (for example)

Might I suggest that instead of restricting the possible values you could have the menuing give the current values as suggestions and then allow for free input of values (as Reaper tends to do). It seems a shame to exploit the power of computing for signal processing but not for musical processing

I understand, but it's the way it is I'm afraid. After all, it needs to be automatable. And mainly it needs to be useful, and if you need 11.3/7.15 then you can just disable sync .

thanks - speaking of disabled sync - is that just free running from the start of the song or can it be retriggered in anyway (even a sneaky way using automation eg turn off and on)
