It's a shame you couldn't write "transfer" instead of "xfer"... What does "xfer" mean to anybody here? To me, it means http://www.xferrecords.com/el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:

they already draw lines. 50$ xfer fee on case-by-case basis. product becomes nfr etc. can't sell omni if upgraded from atmos (even if you did buy in at a huge cost, and stick with it through the intel wrapper debacle)
it's not like you wanted v.i.p on three 2nd-hand licenses
Omnisphere 2 is here! (yes, it's really here!)

Marketing?
Eric could put up a white page with 2 things on it (Omnisphere 2 and a buy now button) and their servers would crash within 5 minutes.
No marketing for this thing is needed.

not sure how that sucks... the line is... brought omnisphere, stylus rmx, and trillian "NEW"!!! it is like you are 4 feet 6 inches and want to get on a ride at Six Flags... but the rule is you must be 4 feet 7 inches... the cut off is 4 feet 7 inches...Caine123 wrote:wow this sucks, didnt expect this from them... they got a lot of respect from me. this is pretty bad from them.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I own everything they've put out, only Omnisphere was 2nd hand, so I did email them to ask about this.noiseboyuk wrote:Actually although that's the official chapter and verse, I'm sure I've read people saying they were ok even in that circumstance. I own:
Stylus RMX - NEW
RMX Expanded upgrade - NEW
Trilian - NEW
Omnisphere - USED
Omnisphere Moog Expansion - NEW
I asked if I could qualify for the VIP. They said NO.
Pretty annoying, the used Omisphere barely even saved me any money at the time.
to take a step further... what happens if the individual that brought omnisphere second hand got it more than $50 off the original price? that individual is still coming out even or ahead of the game... right? maybe?
in conclusion... updates/upgrades do not work out for everyone... but i truly believe that once this individual gets their hands on omnisphere 2... the extra $50 will not make a difference... in other words... you cant put a price on inspiration... OMNISPHERE 2 will inspire!!! or you just want it so you can say you have it...

I agree. There has to be a cutoff somewhere. I missed the free upgrade deadline by a month. Sucks, but that's life. I probably won't upgrade as a result and that's my choice. Truth is, I'm perfectly content with Omnisphere 1.neverenoughfunk wrote:not sure how that sucks... the line is... brought omnisphere, stylus rmx, and trillian "NEW"!!! it is like you are 4 feet 6 inches and want to get on a ride at Six Flags... but the rule is you must be 4 feet 7 inches... the cut off is 4 feet 7 inches...Caine123 wrote:wow this sucks, didnt expect this from them... they got a lot of respect from me. this is pretty bad from them.Echoes in the Attic wrote:I own everything they've put out, only Omnisphere was 2nd hand, so I did email them to ask about this.noiseboyuk wrote:Actually although that's the official chapter and verse, I'm sure I've read people saying they were ok even in that circumstance. to be honest... this is how "all" companies should be... their products are so great... just purchase because of name on the box...lotus2035 wrote:Yeah just "Omnisphere 2" in comic sans font and a buy button.wagtunes wrote:Marketing?

If you launch a new product you should not be satisfied just to hope for your fanbois to buy (unless your company is called Apple) - you always have to generate new customers too, everything else would be poor management on the long run. So of course marketing is always needed.wagtunes wrote:Marketing?
