Does Syn'X (formally Synthix) have the same oscillator engine as miniSyn'X?

Website says Syn'X version 2.0 (formally Synthix) will be eqivalent. Could be wrong, but I don't remember any revisions to oscillator, filter, chorus or hard-sync being announced since the original Synthix 1.0 release like they did for XILS 3 2.0.Sendy wrote:Does Syn'X (formally Synthix) have the same oscillator engine as miniSyn'X?

Syn'X 2 , close to be released, will have the same oscillator engine than the miniSyn'X.electro wrote:Website says Syn'X version 2.0 (formally Synthix) will be eqivalent. Previous versions of Syn'X (last one is 1.1.1) don't have the new oscillator algorithm.

Anybody else having a problem with the XILS account?
I need to reinstall PolyKB II Player that I bought earlier.
So I logged into my account, went to "Your Completed Orders" and clicked on "Download Files"
But there are no PolyKB II Player files on that page.
I also have XILS 3 LE in my account, clicked "Download Files" on that too to check, and I'm taken to the same page which holds no files?
How do I get my files?

Hm....did you bought the synths at XILS-Lab or elsewhere? And did you registered them at XILS-Lab's website? I think the downloads are available on the regular download page.Numanoid wrote:Anybody else having a problem with the XILS account?

The serials are registered in my XILS account.sfd wrote:Hm....did you bought the synths at XILS-Lab or elsewhere? And did you registered them at XILS-Lab's website? I think the downloads are available on the regular download page.
I figured out that I can download the demos, and install them.
But it is rather confusing having links listed to download in the account, that goes nowhere?

I hope Xavier will have a look at it.

There you go. All synths have their own DL page. I think they might have chnged the structure of the site recently, so the links in the account pages might not be valid anymore. Anyway, just visit each page of the synths you awn on their site, and the links are easy to find.

Video I found on Youtube. Using the demo version as can be seen. And ..... making a minimal track with real time mouse automation.

I agree with JMJ. Hardware and plug ins ( in the general perception of this term, including plugs embedded in hw synths ), are, and will remain different. And that's a good thing.
They will also remain different in the cost factor, as I recently saw the pre-series of the new Synthex will cost a bit more than 3000$, when the MiniSyn'x is 49$ intro price ie approx divided by 60.
Plug ins will also remain different in many other areas. Like polyphony, additional features, research possibilities etc.
Also I wonder how much the Synthex 2 will sound more/less different compared to the original. Well, we'll see. I hope they will make a beautiful machine, built like a tank.
