I read the following from the Sonokinetic website:
"...While most of digital Sampling libraries offering you the US standard 440Hz,
almost all professional Symphonic orchestras and cinema orchestras tune to A=442Hz..."

What is zebra2's, diva's, etc, default tune?
Or did i get something wrong?

Post

I'm pretty sure u-he and most other synths are tuned to 440hz by default.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Maybe i am thinking to complicated but there have to be a simple way to check it, or?

If you have a tuning fork... ;)

Or play an A4 and look at a frequency/sprectum analyzer (easy done in Ableton Live e.g.)

I have done it already with span, but it's not precise enough to determine if it's 440Hz or 442Hz.
What do you get when pressing A4?

In Zebra it's 440Hz. You can set the global detune to match what you want (or even load a .tun file), and the lock these parameters so that browsing presets doesn't change those settings.

make it more precise by accessing the options.
go to Edit - block size - ...choose a higher block size.

Thank you all.

@Urs: nice feature
@3ee: nice hint

ok, i'm stupid

i can see in global where i can change tuning by semitones

is there any way short of using .tun files to set to e.g. A4=432 Hz?

weirdly, even though I don't have any .tun files, when I loaded on of Howard's contributed patches ("HS Bell Builder"), in the "VoiceCircuit Tuning" drop down it reads "Hrm-1-12", but the VoiceCircuit TuningMode switch is Off (0)

Any help? :help:

Thanks kindly

@rasputin: Easy - what Urs suggests i.e. fine tune down to 432 (somehow) and 'lock' the fine tune knob.
