Tracktion Software

I recorded 21 tracks at live event using Tracktion 4 on a Vista Machine - Dual Core @ 2Gb and 4Gb RAM. The recording went well, but on play back, I'm getting the "P"s & "C"s (pops and clicks). For the most part, the P&C's are pretty regular and I've tried different buffer settings to no avail. So, I went into the computer and turned off as many services and programs that I thought would be safe to stop, but the P&C's continue.
Does anyone have Ideas on solving this issue? Id appreciate comments or, better yet, a solution.

What driver mode do you have selected in Settings, Audio Devices? What audio interface are you using?

Audio Device = ASIO Using the X-USB from Behringer. Mixing through the Behringer X-32.
I read the post that 'frankvg' suggested and I'll try some of those measures. About the Driver; is the "X-USB ASIO" driver ok to use? Is there a better driver?

ASIO is probably the best choice. The computer seems pretty low spec for the application. The Behringer X-32 pushes a lot of data through the USB 2.0 interface. Are you sure that your computer supports USB 2.0? If not that might be the problem.

FWIW, back when I was recording with similar computers, I always had to turn off WiFi to get stable sync to any audio interface.

The wifi drivers in windows are also bad for DPCs, which can cause audio pops and clicks. See here for more info;

High DPC or ISR routine execution times: how to proceed

If LatencyMon reports the DPC and ISR execution times to be too high, you should take a look at the responsible drivers. It may be that these drivers belong to a device that is non-critical for the operation of your computer. If for example tcpip.sys or ndis.sys is reported as the culprit, chances are the problems are caused by your wireless network adapter, if you have one. You could consider disabling the WiFi adapter and receive internet via an Ethernet cable.

99% of the time we’ve seen that incompatible Wi-fi adapters have been the source of the issue.
