+1 Too much.

And knowing how fond Cakewalk is of doing sales, I am in no hurry to take advantage of the upgrade offer, as in a month they could do a 30% off Cakewalk Pro sale.

Also taking into account that Cakewalk are not really helpful in sorting out bugs, I do not want to play guinea pig with my money being a beta tester :D
+1 :)
I will wait and see what the update will bring and see what the first buyers think of it first :)

Because it works in all Mac systems, including 10.10, and was tested in them since the beginning, maybe. And because it will be an excelente instrument, very versatile, and with a gigantic library (AFAIK, both the old Rapture and Dimension Pro libraries will be included, as well as some new additions).

paying a premium to be an early-adopter for a cakewalk product ?
no thanks.

I'll wait for the sale prices on the bug-fixed version.

Yes, was just thinking that.
Pretty much. It's why I haven't upgraded to Platinum -- X3 Pro has ever-damn-thing, except a decent price break for upgrades.

I wonder if the GUI will be any bigger. Rapture is too small to work with on bigger resolutions.

Classical and Jazz may correspond to the head, and Rock to the balls, but Dubstep and its spawn own the lower intestine. How that became where the money is is anybody's guess.

Paid full price for Rapture and Dimension Pro, still bitter what they did with OSX support.

This. Never again will I get another Cakewalk instrument.

Synthesis wise, other than new wavetable samples, they didn't show anything (that I could tell) to make it better than the original Rapture. They really focused it on samples over synthesis. Personally, I think I'll pass. I'm more of a synth than a sample guy.

It didn't have Jordan Rudess so that was a plus, though.
