Unless I'm blind I can't see an "Active Preset"-tab or window in MPower (though the description of multiparameters talks about 'em - guess it's simply the same description as in the FX plugins).
I'm not sure though if they are absolutely necessary because they reside at the bottom of the tabs anyway. OTH I find myself using those controls/page in Omnisphere quite a bit.

P.S. Thx for the beta-update.

Actually I spent a lot of time thinking about this and eventually I decided that MPowerSynth won't have Easy screen, there are many reasons for that. The multiparameters are in the bottom anyway so...

Is there some kind of global undo function or anything? Getting really tired of hitting randomize on accident. I tried the shift thing but it didn't get back to where I was at.

Possible solutions:ckam03 wrote:Is there some kind of global undo function or anything? Getting really tired of hitting randomize on accident. I tried the shift thing but it didn't get back to where I was at.
- A "Hide All Randomize Buttons" check box. (I personally never use them anyway.)
- Implementing an optional "Are you sure you want to randomize?" so you can back out of it without affecting anything.
- Put a toggable lock next to every Randomize button to enable or disable each switch as desired.
For Vojtech's consideration....

Great idea. That would be perfect!Breeze wrote:Possible solutions:ckam03 wrote:Is there some kind of global undo function or anything? Getting really tired of hitting randomize on accident. I tried the shift thing but it didn't get back to where I was at.

Hm, I get as far as ""analyze your sample" and then I'm lost. Maybe a tutorial for this?MeldaProduction wrote:Well, in a way you can do this already:zerocrossing wrote:I've been playing around with bringing in audio files for waveforms and I was thinking how awesome it would be to be able to bring two files in and do a wavetable style morph between them that can be modulated. Any chance of this in the future?
1) Easier method: import one wave to Osc 1 and another to Osc 2 and use Osc 2 Ratio to switch between them.
2) More complex but more generalized: Use harmonic mode in say Osc 1. Learn all harmonics to a multiparameter (it cannot control all, just 64, but that should usually be enough), set it to "Banks" mode, then use the harmonic generator to analyze your sample and store it in one bank, repeat to up to 64 banks (depending how many you want). The multiparameter will then do the trick.
Or forget about the ancient wavetables. Install 9.00 and there are plenty of other opportunities to do these things - take a look at "PWM mode" which controls the new transformations.

Yeah, i've accidentally lost a fair amount of work thanks to the random button. However, there's an undo in the new version, doesn't this fix this problem?

Yeah it does. I think I just screwed it up by clicking other shit before actually attempting to undo. Its fine though. That patch sucked anywayvectorwarrior wrote:Yeah, i've accidentally lost a fair amount of work thanks to the random button. However, there's an undo in the new version, doesn't this fix this problem?

Hey folks, why on earth don't you try the 9.00 beta then?
Right bottom corner - undo & redo
