I am using Thomas Helzle's Tom's Multi-Bi Controller script along with Bitwig's midi learn feature, which maps a single physical control (knob, encoder, fader, button) to a single virtual control. So it's not possible to control multiple Polysynths with the same set of physical controls.
With Arturia VSTs I am able to do this using the midi learn function that is built into the plugin's interface (this is appart from Bitwig's midi learn). This allows me to use one controller to control multiple instances of a particular Arturia VST. The instance you are controlling is determined by which track you have selected. This works quite well for my needs, but I'm really into the idea of only using Bitwig modules.
On top of this with the Arturia midi learn there is an option to save the mapping so you can load it later on the next instance of the VST whether it's your next track/channel or another project. As you can imagine mapping all the virtual controls of Polysynth can take a while so this feature would be very handy.
Obviously saving a project to be used as a pre mapped template in some way deals with saving mappings but this is very limiting... every project is different, and it means you have to have a very fixed/inflexible setup if you don't want to spend half your time midi learning controls and besides it doesn't deal with the main requirement 'One controller to control multiple instances of Polysynth'
As I understand it these two features are not available to the native Bitwig modules and that some kind of scripting would be required. I've spent entire weekends trying to script before with no success. I'm just not a coder
So this is a big please help!
Oh and big thanks to Thomas Helzle if you see this, Multi-Bi Controller is like a gift from the gods
Cheers all
