EVE 1.4 is out

ok, thanks for not reacting as badly as i did

now it is working. but i have had a very bad time with eve. first my directory structure just got messed up so many times when trying to first install - i had mutliple copies of the structure cascading into each other.

then i couldn't open any extra banks from any host other than the original plugin host.

lately every time i open it it gives an error message.... i'm sick of trying to make eve happy so i just ignore it

there just seems to be so much fiddling about compared to other vsti. i suppose that's what i mean by non-standard. maybe these latest changes fixes all that ?

at least i have it working again...

i have wasted so much time on this cursed thing. install was a problem, locating banks, using in different hosts, now this update.

why is this vsti so messy ? why is it different to everything else ? why non-standard !

i worked for years in high level tech support and still get phone calls from people for me to sort them out. but this thing is a pig. if i was doing support i would not describe this piece of coding kindly. i would advise deletion.

i will work it out, sure, but more time wasted

if it wasn't such an excellent synth i would have deleted the thing months ago and cut my losses

I find this a bit strong t.b.h. - I also wasn't happy that I skipped the beta only to find that the official update-release was just another beta - but this isn't only Luigi's fault but also (and mainly I think) the beta-testers are to blame
- anyway: it's not half as bad as you describe it imo

if 50% of users are not happy I'll work more on EVE to make them happy

i actually followed the 'read me' file, and upon opening o-plat, got the 'search for data file' gizmo, searched it out, got another, i assume for the other of two dll's, searched it out, and walah....o-plat doesn't seem to be seeing the multi out one. i don't know why. i'm gonna start over tommorrow. it's probably because i ONLY do rocket science and brain surgery.

thanks for the report uncadave,
maybe for that host you need to put in the plugin folder only the one you use, swapping with the other DLL when needed, or could be the longer DLL name of the multi annoying the host

no you don't, just follow the instructions for 1.4a,

basically run eve.reg and move EVE Banks folder
inside EVE Data
