I'm not much for filming myself. However, I have finished a write-up of the process. Enjoy!

As from today, you can. Just use "carla-single" instead of the regular carla command. You'll be able to select which plugin to load this way.
Neat! I'll check it out this weekend. Thanks for the tip. :)

I watched the video from Musikmesse and it was mentioned that the plugins are available for beta for Linux.
So this information will get a broader audience because not everybody reading forums I think.

You can watch it a t YouTube.

Hive isn't working in muse (2.2.1) at the moment:

Assert failed at /var/lib/jenkins/jobs/u-he/workspace/sources/ObjectLibrary/AM_MipMap.h line 116: "phaseIncrement <= 1.f"

and lockup.

Does the gui launch? If so, did did you attempt to resize it?
How about other the u-he ports, do they give the same/similar error?

Or other native linux vsts work, vex, dexed, noisemaker?

or other commercial demos, Discovery Pro, Pianoteq?

Are your distro graphics libs the latest? The more system info, the better :wink:
Could you qt be too new? a 5x Vs 4x ?
Cheers

Hi!

OK - Diva: Assert failed at /var/lib/jenkins/jobs/u-he/workspace/sources/Projects/Diva/FilterTunings/DivaFilterTunings.h line 145: "CALLED getTabulatedCoefficients with NULL table!"

ACE: Doesn't crash, but no sound.

Bazille: same as ACE

Podolski - locks up on pressing a note (no sound), but no error message.

TAL Noisemaker: fine

Dexed: fine

Aspect: fine

Running current 349 nvidia drivers under Ubuntu 14.10.

Muse: built by hand with qt 4.8.6.

Thanks!

I did a quick test with muse 2.2 (64bit) and can confirm: Hive isn´t working in muse.
When sending Midi to it I get the same error message:
Assert failed at /var/lib/jenkins/jobs/u-he/workspace/sources/ObjectLibrary/AM_MipMap.h line 116: "phaseIncrement <= 1.f"

Is there a way to reduce the audio outputs of Uhbik plugins to a stereo out like on windows with adding the suffix _2io to the dll filename? In Ardour the track outputs always extend to 8 outputs and a surround panner is used when adding a Uhbik plugin but I just want to use a plain stereo version. Thanks.

Post

swindus, each VST plugin declares the number of its outputs. You cannot change it by changing the file name.

Let me check if we can do something.

Thanks for that report, I forwarded it to Urs. I suggest to report it to muse maintainers as well ;-)

Great, thanks.

@phantom-one
With the Uhbiks you can. :)

Little bug report for Presswerk. When I open the MIDI learn menu on the top right the plugin and the host freezes completely. There is no way to close the plugin window. This is the same in Ardour and Renoise. I'm using Debian and Xfce.

I have Hive (and the rest of the u-he herd) working fine with qtractor in pclinuxos.
Used an rpm from http://sourceforge.net/projects/qtracto ... tor/0.6.6/
an older one than is currently found.
(I assume the newer qtractor releases at the link are even better, but I don't
often fix what ain't broke :wink: )

a CD sized iso to make a live/install CD is available here:

http://www.pclinuxos.com/get-pclinuxos/lxde/

synaptic is the package manager.
Cheers
