A few workflow related Feature Requests (Mux VST)...

Granted, I have only worked with Mux a few days so perhaps there are already solutions for some of these.
I really like this super modular environment. 10 years ago I really wanted a Nord Modular but this is perhaps even better :)

However, there's a few things I humbly think would be good for an improved workflow. I'm a bit obsessed with re-usability and getting rid of repetitive work so these are generally aimed at those kind of issues...
Perhaps there are limitations within the VST framework that makes some of these requests impossible or hard to implement. I don't know... :)
Some of these are probably already in the pipe-line but that is hard for me to know... Some of them have probably been requested before at this forum. I tried searching but it was pretty hard to find specific FR:s.

If there are effective work-arounds for some of these, please educate me!

Anyway...

1. Module palette. Basically the add module window as always open or as a toolbar in the modular area.

2. Copy with cables. When copying more than one module it would be great if the cables connecting those would already be connected.

3. New Mux from selection. This would be super powerful but I guess a bit of a hassle to implement. Basically replace selected modules with a Mux containing the selected modules. For this to be properly implemented cabling in and out must of course be intact and meta-parameters properly mapped.

4. Copy meta-parameter map. There's probably a more effective way of dealing with this but so far I have been using meta-parameters in order to change a whole bunch of linked parameters in the same type of module. For example gain in 8 different amplifier modules. This takes a bit of repetitive work to set up and being able to copy a map and just change the receiving module would save a few mouse clicks :)

5. Disconnect all cables from module. I've ended up in situations where I realize I need to change a whole lot of cabling because I didn't think ahead... This would same some time...

6. Right-click cable - Insert module. Just pick the first input/output of the right type.

7. CTRL-V for paste. I realize it's a bit hard to implement since you need to guess where in the grid to paste it, but would be nice...

8. Remember last selected parameter editor type. When creating the front panel with a lot of knobs it would be nice if when you dragged a knob the last editor type ("Mini" or "Maxi") was automatically selected for the new control. (+ "Micro" would be nice :D )

9. Meta parameter name when dragging a control. Just a field where you can optionally set the name for the meta param instead of having to set it afterwards.

10. "Choose color" etc to affect all selected objects. Select a bunch of modules, Choose color. Only the right clicked module is colored now.

11. Select multiple objects on front panel. Good for moving around things instead of moving one at a time. Would also be nice if the container panels were actual containers. I think I'll make a new thread with front-panel requests soon as well :)

12. Don't fear the Reaper-mode. Right click to select!!! :hihi:

I've become addicted to Mux to the point I have started neglecting my children (what day is it? when did I last feed them?) but these things would make me like it even more :)

Yaaaahhh. Just yesterday I wrote this FR on my personal wishlist. I was really puzzled as I copied several Mudules from one MuX to another.

You can set the project browser to "MUX Modules".
5. Disconnect all cables from module. I've ended up in situations where I realize I need to change a whole lot of cabling because I didn't think ahead...
Note that you can Shift+click multiple connections and delete them in 1 go.

NB: Upon deleting multiple connections, the popup question has a little text error after the connection count, that's fixed in the next version.
11. Select multiple objects on front panel. Good for moving around things instead of moving one at a time. Would also be nice if the container panels were actual containers. I think I'll make a new thread with front-panel requests soon as well :)
Pls do so soon as i will be working on the front panel system soon. I must say i'll keep it a simple (and somewhat limited) system, certainly not as extended as eg. Flowstone, but atoh there certainly is room+need to improve the current version. So pls post your ideas and FRs about the MUX front panel system soon, then i'll see what i can do.

Ah! I hadn't found the browser! Great!
I had trouble finding it in the documentation since it isn't always clear on which parts are pertinent when using only the VST version of Mux and not in combination with Mulab.

Yes, that's certainly quicker and just noticed CTRL-Click to delete cables works as well. The problem here is that both cables and connection points are rather small. Just trying it out now I noticed that when selecting a few cables a click a pixel away will deselect your selection.

I think being able to select a bunch of modules, right click and then select Remove all cables would be a nice alternative way.

Sure! I'll try to assemble a list soon. Perhaps tonight.
I think it's a good thing to keep it simple. I think just a few more options regarding controls and grouping would be enough to make it a lot more powerful. I don't really care about customized graphics or anything like that, myself :)
