Hmm that does not make sense as changed to megabytes.
First image should show 7.75 megabits

Seems like the rate changes each time I do the check. Switched to megabits this time.

Will see if my system is configured correctly before I get on the phone with them.

Omnisphere, just 4 hours to go

You seem to have a LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at home. :D
How much are you paying for these speeds?

Actually, I know that the LHC has 100 Gbit/s interfaces. Speedtest.net can't handle those speeds though. ;)

How about starting a new thread... as this is really nothing to do with Omnisphere 2 in particular...

On another note, my cat has gone off 'Doubly delicious', has anybody got any advice on other foods I could try?

i use it as a closed studio solution like reason plugged into a daw with 2 8 channels for synths and 2 8 channel for drums. because seriously? 32 fx and 25 more with omni 2 as in 57 total! who needs third party fx :tu: im just having a hard time finding a drum rompler. but, omni 2 imports user audio so theirs no reason whatsoever you can't use it has a drum sampler.

in fact giving omnisphere 2s power one could simply load any patch, (especially a drum patch from electro perc folder) or sound lock the drum sounding parts of any non drum patch like adsr, fx, pretty much everything, then simply load a drum sample and turn off key tracking. do that on all 8 tracks, with dual 8 channel omnis and you have 16 tracks of drum power :D in fact i would even go so far as to say that omni2 is the most powerful drum sampler ever made in history and the drum sound it will be able to create will be the best most complex sounding drums ever heard. and, let not get that once you do load in drum samples, you can create a tr xoxo 8 track beat by using the arp sequencer!

i think its safe to say that many people will once they start importing drum samples into omni2 will use omni in this way. i also wonder if we will start to see drum sample libraries that are processed with omnispere2 or drum samples processed with omnisphere2 thne into hardware fx. i wonder if this is even allowed given the strict sampling licence agreement or if one must keep such samples to personal use only.

Usual price is about 70-90 Euro/month for 1 Gbit connection. 250 Mbit is about 45 Euro/month.
100 Mbit connection is about 29 Euro.

On the other hand, we have really cold and sucky weather in Sweden, so we need to stay inside 90% of the year...

Sweden, ridiculous. :hyper:

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Well, you can't make this stuff up.

Last night, after checking my download speed and discovering that I wasn't getting 100 Mb/S as I thought and only 30 Mb/S as I was getting, I decided to call Comcast and ask why. I didn't complain and I was very polite.

Well, to make a long story and 30 minute phone call short, by the time I got off the phone, I had reduced my monthly bill by $34, got HBO and Showtime FREE and upgraded to the download speed posted below.

Like I said, you can't make this stuff up.

Has it been said yet how much more CPU-intensive version 2 will be compared to 1?
