i think VIP or paid models and customers preferring is a bad business everywhere. i think it's totally ok that VIP get more patches, discount etc. but not to get first..... then it'S the bigger your wallet the better your image and we already have that enough in real life we shouldnt have it in out music communityquantum7 wrote:Of course I'm a little biased as a VIP user, but loyal VIP customers should have been allowed to go first. Again though, I'm biased here.
Omnisphere 2 is here! (yes, it's really here!)

I really do not think that it is possible for any software update to be as disappointing as Sampletank 3.zvenx wrote:loltopaz wrote:Unlike sampletank 3 I'm sure this will be well worth the wait !
OUCH... but I so agree with you.

Is someone frustrated enough yet to lend me $499 to see if I can purchase and download it?..

In the email it says it only allows one complete download...
Does that mean I can't upgrade both my OSX and Windows machine or does the download manager download the upgrade for both Windows and OSX regardless of which download manager you used?

It's been a steady 9.82mb/s download, so server appears pretty stable. Hopefully no packet loss as the download is not an iso or collection of split files.
Once selected the download folder it appears to download individual components to an array of tree directorys.
Think I'm going to zip for back up.
When you download I woul suggest Windows users choose a root directory on the hard drive. Using something like desktop or documents is going to be a lot of levels! Just as some friendly advice.

They fooled me! Finally got in and entered my Omni serial number, then it went back to "down for maintenance.

Argh! The upgrade page was working there for a minute - I paid with Paypal, then got sent back to Spectrasonics, where I saw the 'tech shop down' page. Have no idea whether they've taken my $$, registered my order, or what.
