Omnisphere 2 is here! (yes, it's really here!)

Hi some problems here
I bought omnisphere 1 this month and registered it yesterday.
Now it says: "According to our records, the Omnisphere serial number you entered is not currently eligible for this upgrade"
what did i make wrong, have grace-period upgraders to wait... or just an error ?

In the email it says it only allows one complete download...

Does that mean I can't upgrade both my OSX and Windows machine or does the download manager download the upgrade for both Windows and OSX regardless of which download manager you used?

+1! The answer to this might dictate if I upgrade as I use Omnisphere on both my main Mac and Slave PC.

Paid with my credit card.

Got an email with a download link.

Downloaded the installer.

Now I am downloading the upgrade with a 10 mbps stream. 21 minutes left.

I'm really fighting off a bit of the Schadenfreude here to say I really feel for their customer base here. My dark humor is directed more at the Spectra-hubris here, in going from "we're prepared and can handle it" to "oops-sorry" in thirty minutes or less.

I've been waiting for you for so long.
Late, but not too late, you show up and fulfill the prophecy.

I saw an earlier comment that speculated about mirror links and really thought Spectra would take that route for an obvious worldwide onslaught. And I'm sure the more rational users will simply take this all in stride and download when available. Not sure if simple logic can count as 'prophecy' though.

Incase anyone is wondering, the download includes both OSX and Windows installers. Just need 1 download for both operating systems.

Got the VIP upgrade. Downloaded and installed the plug. Installed the presets. But when it came to the sample data, the installer wants... my installation CD!!

For those able to use Omni 2, is it backwards compatible with all omni 1 sounds, particular user or 3rd part libs? I'm in the middle of a project and know I should finish it before upgrading, but I dont know if I'll be able to hold out!
