same with me....(also from Germany)....hopped, to get it yesterday evening...no success...

I'm surprised that Techshop and Spectrasonics is obvouisly surprised with the high traffic!!!???
The was very clear a gap in their rollout planning. They obvouisly underestimated, that nearly each Omnisphere 1
owner like to upgrade at beginning of the rollout..waiting since month/weeks for it..

Ok, this is the one thing....BUT....Why it takes now so long to extend the capacity?

i wish there would be some kind of no-cd, no-challengecode process now, f**king DRM succks this time. my authorization still doesnt work and spectrasonics sends me this

A STANDARD MAIL! and they know what probs i got !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was able to fully download etc. but after succesful authorization it wanted to re-authorize and give me strange numbers now......
very pissed, and to all people laughing at us cause we hyped each other, spectrasonics made a counter etc. and it's not a bad thing to be hyped and happy for the day it should normally work for us all???
it'S not that they are apple and their IDIOTIC customers who camp outside the shops and buy OVERPRICED iphones who run out and think to have saved the world but supported those money ass greasy companies.

in Deutschland könnte man ja wenigstens behaupten: "Ist die Telekom schuld..."

in Germany very often such situations will be blame on "Telekom" (the biggest german telephone-company)

Let's start a one vid challenge. Sample Eric raving about the elusive Omni2 from the teaser vid and make it into your song entry. I might start with 50% time stretch to get things into real time and then wait until August to upload it for technical reasons. I'll create a teaser in the meantime...

About 9 hours left for download.... seems i was a lucky man to get trough it after i pushed the button every second for a while

But after all this posts i get a bit scared if it will work after waiting about 24 hours for the whole download. If not.....

I always prefer dvd for stuff with lots of GB. I would have paid a bit more if they would ship just the upgrade via 1-2 dvd. I also hate the mac store. Just download sucks (for me).
However, i think this time i have a good feeling and i will play in the evening (in Germany) with Omnisphere 2!

Admittedly I've been a bit 'nervous' and have even closed all programs before the setup (what I never do though they say it is recommended). The hints in the PDF made me do so... reading for instance that going back to Omni1 is not that easy... didn't sound too reassuring.

so, I get now an answer according to the timeframe from TechShop/Spectrasonics
in order to reopen the shop:

"Most likely it will all be ready by next week"

I've got a stupid standard answer too. They are not able to check the serial for the free upgrade it seems. Rather they auto response to all who bought Omni during the grace period that it's not eligible for upgrade. What a lame company this is.

but ppl who downloaded it, did you have no probs authorizing it?

On the other hand it is going to be a real relaxed weekend now, so I guess I am lucky too.
Otherwise I would be sitting the next days in front of Omnisphere 2, trying everything out.
These VSTs can suck energy big time

I still am a real big fan of spectrasonics and I hope to hear from them soon.
I use their instruments quite a lot

Good question... since you have to go trough the servers for authorization too. I can answer it in about 8 hours.
@spectrasonics: That costs 1000 extra patches
