Yes it's fantastic of them, I have finally managed to purchase, downloading now. I'm downloading the Mac version but have a PC laptop too, can I install on both? Would I need to download the full 40GB each time or just different installers?medienhexer wrote:No, that's a nice and personal solution to a webshop/payment system overload. They didn't cheat anyone out of there money or blow up anyone computer. He offered no excuses or an apology and imo none was needed. It was obvious they tried there best to prepare for the release. Instead what we see is his wife and him individually processing orders one by one for who know how many customers (hundreds, thousands?). If anything, you should be saying thank you for this. You could even take a step back and even say thank you for creating omnisphere to begin with, not expecting (demanding) an apology on an issue they tried there best to prepare forel-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:[

Wow yeah it is, guess there is less bandwidth competition with the personal links - mine roaring away at 7-8 MB/S, should take just another 30 mins.cain wrote:same here im just going through the preset man there is a lot haha . download went pretty quick on my twc internet 300meg line

At least the start of Omnisphere 2 was better than the end of Alchemy 2.0 (which was my most wanted software in the world
)!
I wish i could load more than one sample into one layer (16-32 would be nice) and could blend/morph these via LFO or MOD Env. Maybe i could do the trick via load a sample which includes all these samples inside it and modulate the exact position. But i would have to modulate the pitch for each key too... But it will be interesting to use all my 20 GB of Alchemy samples into Omnisphere 2. I really love Omnisphere 2 but especially libraries like the Steamworx, Water and Dream Voices are so fantastic that i could not live without them. I still think a lot of Omnisphere's magic happens trough the processed sound sources and FX.

my Outlook speaks with a wonderful female voice to me "Sie haben Post" (for non-german "you have a new mail")
so finally the Omnsiphere2-Upgrade-links came back to my computer and if you smell what The Sarge is cooking...ehhhm...downloading: 1,10MB/s
should be happy about that it´s here
but bit frustrated, like a child on Christmasmorning, due to slow download
btw: Kate had dropped a little girl today

Their downloader seems to be very efficient.
It maxes out my lowly DSL completely, takes about 10% CPU (plus a 10% CPU increase on the system processes) on my Macbook and recovers speed nicely after an interruption.
That's 20% out of 200% total, compare that to downloading large files or a great number of small files with Safari or even transfering from a server in Finder. I'll often end up with 100% plus and a very sluggish system in these situations.
So as long as the download ends up being succesful, good job, Spectrasonics

I'd say the downloader thinks you launched it more than once. Quit and try again?PietW. wrote:I have installed the downloader but the message comes Host_SingleInstance. What's this?

I emailed them a few hours ago, and have not heard anything back. :/
EDIT: make that 4hrs actually.

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.
