Hello,
I am having a challenge getting my GR5 to show up and be activated with Service Center. I used the unsupported route, but it never shows up to activate in Service Center. Also for whatever reason I can't seem to be able to use direct install. Every time I try it, it claims I'm not administrator, tried everything including right clicking and run as administrator.
I also don't see any specific installer on plugorama for GR5, also contacted NI, boy that was and continues to be an interesting challenge to say the least. Hopefully someone here on the forum has had success since I see it's available in later versions of Komplete, I only have Komplete 7 but already owned the GR5 license.
Oh yeah this is a Receptor 2 + upgraded to 2.0.1 recently.

Hey thanks for the reply hopkihc. Actually just copied the 32bit GR5 .dll over into the unsupported folder.
I think when I dropped it in "Drop Installers Here", all I got the old needs Win7 error.
Ah yes that's a great suggestion on the XP compatibility option, will try that.

I would expect that just dropping the .dll would not work. NI installers create all sorts of registry entries and other files needed to support the product.
You could try downloading the latest GR5 installer from the NI site and drop the .exe into the Drop Installers Here directory, and then running it.
But are you saying you already did that? And got a "needs Win7" error Maybe an older version of the GR5 installer would work?
Well, I was under the impression that the 2.0.1 OS made the Receptor report as a Win7 system... but maybe it doesn't look that way to the installer.

Yep tried that, also was able to use XP compatibility to finally be able to open direct install, however apparently that is no longer used in 2.0.1. It claims I need at least 1.7, well beyond that.

I can put the 32bit dll and the Software manager sees it and puts it in the list, but as soon as I try to activate it, service center pops up and GR5 is nowhere to be seen. I can use GR5 in demo mode oddly too.
I guess I'll have to throw in a ticket at plugorama.

Actually in an update, Muse sent me a link to a fixer that worked great. If you're having the issue put in a ticket, they got me the file in less than a day, and I'm a happy camper, even copied all my desktop presets no problem. The same process may work for session horns as well.
