If you ask me: yes!

Post

Yes I said, "I want a Webinar about MAutoDynamicEQ, MCompare, MAutoVolume".

And I would ask for it to be indexed. As an example of how NOT to do it, please see the Club Cubase ones - 2:15 of video with no idea what concept is discussed at what time. I know I'm missing out on a lot of cool information, but I just don't have the time to access it in that way!

To be fair: A good webinar is as challenging as a good lecture. Preparation and discipline are the keys - plus a sense for handling the attention of the audience.

From my experience it helps if more than one person is involved in managing a webinar (i.e. one for collecting and sorting questions, another one for keeping an eye on the schedule... etc.).

But this - honestly - also means some serious time spent by the guys who organize it.

Yeah, it sounds a little terrifying :). Anyway there should be some reasonable set of video tutorials, things are starting to be hectic :).

Perhaps a few gin and tonics under a palm tree might be in order 8)

I'm interested of they are downloadable/rewatchable later.

I would like to see more of everything really. Webinars, and above all tutorials, both video and written. I also would like to see a makeover of the manuals. Some of them are quite good but others are not very helpful when it comes to explaining how the different parameters interact.

Post

There shall be a lot more video tutorials, that's the main goal now... Regarding docs - here's the thing, in most cases it's impossible - "how to equalize" would be a book, "how to compress" same thing... and in both cases many would disagree. It just doesn't make sense, it only needs to describe the parameters. And worse - in some plugins, such as the mighty MSpectralDynamics, the full potential is far from being found actually...

Good to hear that there will be more tutorials! :D I think tutorials will be good for sales too  . Melda plugins are not the easiest to grasp for idiots like me. The first Melda plugin i tried was the MMultibandDynamics demo. When I Clicked the Edit button I thought I was in a spaceship (so how do I take this baby to the moon and back...?) I left it alone thinking it was not for me but for "the pros". I Later watched a mastering tutorial by the excellent Ian Shepherd where he used MMultibandDynamics and explained how he twisted the knobs to get the reults he wanted. I learned heaps from that! I don't necessarily want to use it the way he does but it was a really good way of learning the plugin and see its potential.

So... I downloaded and started exploring the free bundle. Thanks to Ian Shepherd I got the "feel" for your plugins. I ended up upgrading the free bundle and buying the MixingBundle plus some plugins from the TotalBundle.

I have watched most of the tutorials and teasers on the Melda site and they are very good. I just recently found the written tutorials and I think they are excellent! For example the mixing tutorial is great. Personally I don't mix that way but I still learn from it. There are really good suggestions on how to use the Melda plugins in the mixing process. Maybe I don't agree on everything but that's beside the point. The point is learning how to use the plugins.

It doesn't have to be "How to..." Rather "For example you can try..."

Having that said I really like the automated stuff! MSpectralDynamics alone is worth a nobel price! :D

Thank you!

Yes, these plugins are powerful, hence lots of controls, though most of it is hidden. Nevertheless there are some personal "addings" going on right now, and these should take care of the "learning curve"... ;)
