Maybe we already can and I overlooked,

but I was hoping with MPowersynth that we could use complete audio tracks for OSC like Alchemy and Absynth.
(with many analysis mode choices like spectral, granular and then choices for resynthesis from noise, or additive, etc..)
Is it coming or even possible? That would be for sure my only choice of synth, but Alchemy has something (with easy freezing/stretching/ etc.. of audio) that no other synth features to my knowledge, or at least not as well implemented (Absynth is a pain.... at least for me)
So I wonder how would Melda magicians implement such an amazing and often overlooked sound designing possibility! Thx!

I'm afraid if you mean "sampler", then it's not possible. There's a long plan for some super-modular synth (similar to MXXX, but synth), which shall have pretty much everything, but that's for a longer future. MPowerSynth already has a brutal set of features
, adding sampling to it doesn't seem possible really. But if you want please feel free to give me some info about what you mean exactly.

"super-modular synth (similar to MXXX, but synth)" WOAH! Would be amazing
"info about what you mean exactly."
I dont know if you know well Alchemy (the way it re-synthesizes audio and possibilities afterward (detune-stretch-freeze-reversed/up&down-ABCD OSC blending options/etc), otherwise I can write exactly which features+screenshots I think would be must-have for that upcoming super-mod-beast!

I don't really know Alchemy. Well, feel free to send me any info to info@meldaproduction.com, could be handy when designing MYYY

Nah, that can only be a working title. Once it gets finished I'm looking forward to a new round of name brainstormingMeldaProduction wrote:MYYY

Oh
I like MYYY
but ok... I have a few more names from last brainstorming

Just to be clear..
Are you asking for suggestions on a synth with all the mojo, power and tech from MPowerSynth but with different kind of samplebased oscillators? And modular?
I think my brain just exploded
Alright, ill spend my dogwalks thinking of this and then write something constructive...

Hehe yeah
. My idea is something like MXXX, but not with effects, but some form of generators (sampler, oscillator...) and processors (lfo, filter, ...), and all of it per-voice (that's the main issue, but everything is possible
). Just some ultimate instrument
.

If we could be working with samples then the first thing that comes to mind would be vocals, then formants, then a row of formants like liquid instruments (hybrid sampler [closed] based from melodyne). You can chain up to 8 or 12 formants together. I was planning to make a video about what I mean and drop it in the melda corner one of this days for a request.

Heres what I'm talking about!
That kind of flexibility, but with Melda touch!

Exemple of use:
1-Often, I'll take a complete or part of track (like 3:00 of guitar) from my song, and then I load it in OSC A (add+spectral mode) and modulate filters, add FX, etc
I do the same for OSC B with different modulation, filters, pitch, etc.. and then layer it in stereo :: It makes great pads but within the same basic sound with identical articulation which is great
Alchemy has a great Modulation Matrix, but the 'down' part is that its FX are extremely limited, and nothing compared to Melda flexibility and sound ::
2-'Stretch' is an a-m-a-z-i-n-g tool for doing pads; layered upon 4 audio oscillator bring organic sounds and unique texture
3-'Spectral-Noise resynthesis' on OSC A with slightly modulated 'cents' + 'White Noise' on OSC B with filter cutoff slightly modulated and overdriven brings Boards of Canada/Juno sounds but with audio elements
======
Also, Alchemy is discontinued, so I think Melda could have this 'part of the market' easily
I just cant wait to use that "oh MYYY god" sample-synth!

Thank you for the info! I'll check it out when starting to design "MYYY" (so that MXXX is not alone
)
