Cool! I was trying to guess what you alluded to on Facebook, but I was wrong of course.

It's not something I'll use personally, but sounds like a great new feature, and certainly one I've heard requested.

Also, the browser Files tab shows audio thumbnails during audition. This has been available on the Search tab but is new for the Files tab.

Audio loops auditioning is not synchronized with tempo on OSX, tried wav and caf files.
Plugins UI still sluggish and annoying (note : fix was not on the change log so perhaps for an other update) : waldorf attack need almost 1 s to update it's UI when a sound is selected by pressing on the virtual keyboard, microtonic waveform display still freezes.

Here on OS X it seems Audio loops sync from the Search tab but not the Files tab. For sync to work the files might need to have the proper meta data like tempo and number of beats. Is that right?

for me none of both tabs is synced.
Meta datas are perhaps the issue because for example a 4 beats lenght is recognised as 3 beats when I drag it on the main edit.
I tried with ridiculous tempos, from 20 to 250 bpm and the loops always play at the same speed.
After trying other loops, some synchronizes and some doesn't.

Rendering step clips to midi works great now! One minor issue remains, that the original step clips are not deleted or replaced by the midi, but remain on the same timeline. I can see how it would be desirable not to nuke these by default, but maybe some sub options could be made available on the render to midi button, allowing us to replace original, render to a new track and so on.

In any case, a huge improvement. Nice work!

Still crashes when re-loading projects containing the Frostbite from AudioThing, Win7 64-bit, running 32-bit version of Tracktion.

Cannot repro in SONAR X3 or Acid Music Studio.
