I imported this file into T6.1 but it did not render at the right speed. It is supposed to have a variable tempo and the midi file includes a tempo track but T6 seems to treat it as fixed tempo which leads to it being too fast in places. I definitely selected yes when I imported it to the question "Do you want to import tempo and time signature changes from the midi track?" So is there some other option I need to check or does Tracktion just have a problem with variable tempos?

The tempo map does get imported here (and also time sig as 6/8) so I am not sure what you could have selected differently. There is an 'auto-detect tempo' setting in 'General Behaviour' though.

Yeah I've got that set to ask, and it did ask, but still messed it up. Quantise is set to off so it's not that. I rendered the same clip in Studio One perfectly, but that has an adaptive time sig option.

I've had this problem and had to delete the controller data from the tracks and re-do tempo changes.

Yeah I'm afraid this was one case of Studio One having the edge.

Tempo map in that midi file imports fine on my Win8 machine, Tracktion 6.2
Not tried it in Studio 1, so can't comment.
