Hi all, hope someone can help with this and that it's just a bone-headed pilot error situation. Up-graded to T-6 and a new laptop recently, installed the drivers 4 times until it finally worked, enabled my audio settings in the control panel and on the settings tab in T-6, armed track 1 and did a short recording (it did record a file) , tried to play it back, no sound, went back to settings and noticed that the Mackie Onyx tab wasn't enabled anymore, tried to enable it and I keep getting the same error message "Device did not open".Device manager sez driver's are working but re-installed the driver's anyway and it still doesn't recognize the Onyx as a device but will for ASIO V.2.The Mackie Onyx is one of the device choices in settings but, well, you know. My gear: T-6,HP 6550b Probook w/Win 7 Pro,8g ram,500g/7200 rpm HD, Mackie Onyx 1640i via firewire, Simmons D200s amp.Audio program is IDT.I remember back when Win 7 was kinda sorta buggie with Tracktion but I haven't had any trouble's in T-2 for years AND I installed T-6 first on my desktop using Win-7 Pro to make sure it worked and it did fine with the same Mackie board.Could it just be a laptop issue? Should I delete IDT and try something else? TIA and glad to be back making music and back playing drums in a Blondie tribute band here in PDX!
All the thing's I've learned up till now I know.
