Wow, this seems like a dream come true... but holy crap that price tag! Could I just smell it for $1.50? (am I the only one who remembers that bit?)

Non existent.
Klaus Piehl and the other cats who know the ADSP-21369 processors from Analog Devices did really great stuff on my DSP cards, and more recently my XITE-1 DSP Rack. Solaris though was a step up using it's own operating systems.
I can get around the old Modular app. really well now too. All of the modules except audio as a modulation source, so we have 32bit MIDI resolution by using Scope Sync made by a 3rd party group of guys, or the older Silentway Suite vrs. 2.2.
I must admit though Zebra 2 / HZ stand up pretty well against it.
The major difference being the DSP Chips processing internally @ 96k.
The sound is incredibly FAT and pristine.

My recording chops are pretty lame, but here's a taste of Solaris doing Guitar style tricks. Just bending a VCA Group up to match the pitch of another, like a Guitarist bending a B String up to the E string to match a pitch.
But in between the normalizing you can hear the incredible amount of detail 96k brings to synthesis.

Someday i would like to see a touch screen support from U-he. F.e. a synth like Animoog is such a joy to play. Nothing comes close (in terms of expression) for such a few bucks. Not all of us can buy expensive (and even limited) hardware for such expression. There are some other great tools for touch screens which can do similar things. Don't miss the future :D
Why aren't there more native remote apps to control the desktop tools out there. Keyboard was yesterday

diaper@ky,
Sounds pretty cool. Still have the CS-80? What is the name of the group that you were in that has/had a record deal?
