I bought the original collection with the MS20ic controller for £200.
A couple of years ago I decided I no longer had the space for the mini controller, given how little I actually used it, so I sold it on eBay. It raised, IIRC, over £160!

Though the scrolling interface is a bit frustrating and should definitely be widened, more DAWs should feature resizable plugin windows.
The whole MS20-2 concept would be great, and would surely get a lot of love in the software world (ImpOSCar 2 and Oddity 2 spring to mind), Korg have put a lot of their energies into rereleasing hardware versions of the synth. And to be fair, I have to respect that. Plenty of companies don't give their old classics the time of day any more, and seeing this one become available again for the many people who were clamouring for it is pretty awesome.
But some love to the software version definitely wouldn't go amiss!
Also, MS20-2 should totally be compatible with the original software controller as well.
(oh yeah, and who else wanted a similar controller for the ARP2600?)

This is not up to the DAW. It's up to the plugin manufacturer.Kickflip wrote:more DAWs should feature resizable plugin windows.

I know what you're saying, but I thought there was a DAW that would let you resize any plugin from any manufacturer? I could be mistaken on that though - I use Logic so am used to seeing features in other DAWs and wishing Apple would get around to implementing themEvilDragon wrote:This is not up to the DAW. In any case, the DAW provides the space for the plugin to draw its UI on, so a simple remapping and resizing operation should be feasible. Also, if it was a DAW-centric operation this would take the burden away from the plugin developers - reducing the chance of 1001 different implementations with their own bugs and quirks.
I think (hope?) that as massive high-res screens become commonplace, operating systems, DAWs and other software will gradually get more features to customise the viewing size. No more tiny fonts if you want lots of pixels at once, and no more supersized plugin interfaces extending past the bottom of your laptop screen!

Nope, that's not the case. DAW cannot influence plugin window size.

Maybe if the DAW made use of some Window functions like the magnifier

Ah... still though, the feature's a good concept. I guess it's early days though. Maybe if vector graphicced software becomes the norm rather than bitmapped!VariKusBrainZ wrote:They just double the size of the pixels

My vote goes for M1 and Wavestation - these are still unique stuff, even in 2016

Got to be honest, love them but on todays display try loading up monopoly and read the gui. Way too small
Only thing on my wish list aside from the constant challenge and response auth.
