Hello everyone!
this is the first time i post here...
whilst i do understand the basics behind subtractive synthesis, i'd like to know if theres some sort of a tyrell n6 manual as im struggling to find out how to do certain things...
for an instance i havent been able to use vibrato... and i just cant find a way to use it...
i'd also love to know whats the actual signal path for the synth...
anyways thank you very much for your tiem, and thanks u-he for giving away this superb sounding synth.

Vibrato slider (leftside ) up a bit... make sure LFO1 has it's mod depth to min .. or the modwhl hooked and maxed out to avoid any confusion for starters...

Signal path, don't know for sure.. but it looks like .. oscillators (incl noise gen and ring mod combination) ---> mixer ---> filter --->back to mixer via feedback slider.

This is a VERY important tip. I finally decided to give Tyrell a test run today and I was trying to use LFO1 to pitch modulate OSC1 and there was no effect until I turned the Depth Mod all the way counterclockwise (to it's minimum value).3ee wrote:Vibrato slider (leftside ) up a bit... make sure LFO1 has it's mod depth to min .. or the modwhl hooked and maxed out to avoid any confusion for starters...

Well, as for "stock modules" such as LFOs, preset browser, ModMatrix, envelopes you can always consult the manuals for any other u-he synth.
Back then when I discussed this synth with Amazona they agreed to provide for a manual - it was their concept after all. There *was* a draft in German, but I can't remember if it was ever published in any way.
Cheers,
Urs

Thanks for the info, Urs. Wish they had followed through as you did.Urs wrote:Well, as for "stock modules" such as LFOs, preset browser, ModMatrix, envelopes you can always consult the manuals for any other u-he synth.

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to recreate tyrell preset on tyrell n6. Cool, isn't it?
And there is someting that I'm missing.
What is ModWhl? I know it stays for modulation wheel but where to look for it? It's a knob within tyrell or I need a midi controller to tweak it?
I would be extremely grateful for any hint.
Chers!

its for a mod wheel most midi keyboards have one,you could for example assign the filter cut off to the mod wheel so as you play you could adjust the filter with just the mod wheel

Hi ere2learn, thank you for your post.
I have only one saw wave. In matrix my matrix 1 target is filter cutoff. To the knob next to matrix 1 target I have selcted modwhl. I can move around the knob but there is no influence on cutoff. Why? This will only work when midi keybord is connected?
I have M-Audio mini 32. But I will be able to try only on Saturday.

I'm pleased to say that, as of this month, there is now a manual in English for this awesome free synth:https://www.scribd.com/document/3380902 ... l-ENG-v1-1 (https://www.scribd.com/document/338090289/Tyrell-N6-v3-0-3898-Manual-ENG-v1-1)

I don't know where your link is leading, but, there is an english and german manual available from Amazona's site for some time now: https://www.amazona.de/freeware-synth-tyrell-n6-v3-03/
Edit: Yep, it's the same as from Amazona's site. No need to Scribd.
