I kept wondering why my mix was sounding dark when matching EQ with this plugin. So, I analyzed a source file as a target (source=target) and clicked Equalize. As you can see in the screenshot, the EQ curve starts rolling off at 5k and is down 4.5db at 20kHz! This is with the default settings except for Mix is set 100% wet. So, why wouldn't the plugin show a flat curve if the source=target? :o

Well, it's pretty obvious from the analyses, they are just different, not sure what more to add :). Note that the signal is just completely changing, so if you say source=target, then it means you analyze both files from the EXACT same moment to the EXACT same moment.

Are you saying my source and target are different? I assure you they are the exact same file, loaded as source and analyzed as target. What it means is that the plugin has a problem. I can hear it and see it and quantify it. It's right there in the screenshot.

Have you checked the response yourself loading your own source and target file, or can you devise a better test for flatness in the plugin results? :?

Post

Yes, that's correct. Did you analyze the WHOLE file as target? So I'll repeat - the analysis will be the same only and only if you analyze the same audio. Not if you start analyzing the same audio, or analyze different portions of the same audio...
