Hive can be used for everything <3.hivkorn wrote:Guy i have Zebra and Hive look very atractive ,i want to know if this synth can be use to make Indu rock ( like NIN ...) Or it is really better in EDM ...And hive does something zebra can't ? Thx for your advice.
There is no demo time limitation. There's only a small crackling sound at a few intervals. Nothing stops you from even saving presets ^^.hivkorn wrote:I m working on several project and i don t use demo it for not be disctracted or change something and to be stopped by the demo time limitation.
I have look a vidz of hive yesterday on youtube and i was amazed by what i was listening.

I was wondering if that could happen. There was some code that made me scratch my head, but as it has been used for years I hadn't given it further attention.
I shall look into it asap.
IMO Hive can be used for just about any style of music, short of actual real-world instrument recreations. Samplers are just better for that, in every case in the history of ever basically ha-ha. I have actually gotten some fairly chunky and/or heavy-ish sounds out of Hive (ie = in the *industrial* music vein). Though I also wouldn't say it's geared toward that, it is as capable (if not more so) than most synths with it's feature set.hivkorn wrote:Guy i have Zebra and Hive look very atractive ,i want to know if this synth can be use to make Indu rock ( like NIN ...) Hive is better for having a sequencer, thou I feel Zebra's arpeggiator is better, though you can mix both arp and sequencer in Hive for some more interesting variations.hivkorn wrote:Guy i have Zebra and Hive look very atractive ,i want to know if this synth can be use to make Indu rock ( like NIN ...) You're definitely right that Zebra can do better bells and metallic timbres right now with what it has. FM/Sync is apparently on the road-map though, which will certainly help with those more digital sounds which is necessary for far too many dance styles.mcnoone wrote:Hive is better for having a sequencer, thou I feel Zebra's arpeggiator is better, though you can mix both arp and sequencer in Hive for some more interesting variations.hivkorn wrote:Guy i have Zebra and Hive look very atractive ,i want to know if this synth can be use to make Indu rock ( like NIN ...) I think Zebra is best for the nin industrial type sounds as it has ring mods and the fm modules.
There's something else it has that really helps for those kinds of tones is the Sideband module.
Though to find out just try the demo of Hive out.
