I also think that making drums is kind of complicated in Bitwig.
The drum machine makes it easier but for example you have all notes in the same color.
Making the kick red the hat blue and the snares yellow would be also an improvement I think.
And your idea is also a good approach.

If you guys have an iPad/Android tablet with Lemur and NI Reaktor and want a drum centric sequencer like that in the meantime with Bitwig checkout my 16 step drum step sequencer https://liine.net/en/community/user-library/view/585/
I 100% agree on the step sequencer object like that for drums... its absolutely essential for beat making workflow.

Yes beatsequencer nice, but as a device? Hell no! Put this in pianoroll insteedHamHat wrote:I love just about all of those FR especially the beat sequencerThen just add a way to skin Bitwig and instrument chains and life is good.
Reason is because its more handy and allows room for velocity and stuff! Also nice to have a beat sequencer with timeline

And another FR:
An option to pin/dock (or whatever it's called) tracks in the arranger view, so they don't disappear from the view.
Sometimes when you have a lot of tracks, it's really painful to scroll all the way down (or up) just to see some tracks.... Especially the most used ones like the effects tracks/bus and master.
So, an option to pin/dock tracks would be very helpful.
See pic to see what I mean :
Also on first post for easy find.
And @Ogopogo: Thanks for the link.

Related to this, I'd like to be able to hide the effect returns and master in the arrange view but still have them viewable in the mixer view.Regnas wrote:And another FR:

Why not make all track to stick there permanent. So you can choose.
So you make the 5 tracks you are currently working on fixed and you scroll up and down and always see those 5 tracks for example.
I don't need to see always the master track.
