Carla doesn't do any latency compensation yet.
That is a huge beast to handle (and not required for most plugins) so I'm leaving it for later.

My focus right now is finishing all the features I've started and stabilize it enough for a really-solid 2.0 release.

Does Carla *need* PDC, if the host can compensate for it? I don't know enough about how that works, but presumably the plug reports it's delay to the host? If that gets passed through to the DAW, does carla need to be involved really?

I know it'll be more complicated than that, but I don't know why. Sorry if it's a daft question

Just thought I'd chime in and tell you Renoise's Redux Sampler instrument has been released , Mac/Win/Linux VST . If you need a good sampler for Linux here you go .... DrumDrops has Renoise patches for there acoustic drum kits that work in Renoise ..... Which will work in Redux . I've got away from Linux for music at the moment , but just thought I'd let you guys know about Redux

That's very good news, I've been waiting a long time for that plugin!
It doesn't seem like existing renoise customers can get a discount though
EDIT: Actually the backstage page says:

As a registered Renoise user, you are entitled to a 30% discount when buying Redux.

Me too I still probably give it a go on my Ubuntu partition . $65 new or $45 for Renoise license holders . Not a bad deal imho .
