Question to Mutools....

I love Mulab which I have been using for about 1.5 years.

Is there any plan to introduce oscillator hard sync mode into Mulabs Musynth to make those really nice sync lead sounds?

I know its not Musynth but have you tried the Mux Presets > MFO Folder/ Zync Beta ?

It's already in there: It's done using the MultiForm Oscillator.
The quickest way to play sync sounds is to load the Zync Alfa or Zync Beta preset.
To experiment and shape the sync more personally open the MFO editor -> MULTI FORM and tweak + rerender the MFO wavetable.
Detailed docs on the MFO are here: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/multiformosc.html
Also Musynth's LFO does not seem truly independent when sync is turned off. It seems to re-trigger with each note on.
Yes the "Sync" means whether the LFO frequency is synced to the tempo. If you want a "freely" running LFO then set the Start Phase to Random. If you would want a real global LFO then put an LFO in the parent modular level, add a Modulation Input in the current modular level, and route the LFO that way into your current modular level.
Also Musynth's LFO has only one waveform and does not beat sync very easily. Can this be changed to 1/16th 1/8th 1/4 th note instead of Cpb which is not very intuitive??
If you want 1/4th it means that an LFO cycle is 1/4th = 1 beat so that's 1 Cpb. 1/8th = 2 Cpb.
You can double-click the Frequency parameter value to exactly set such value.
Pls also see the LFO docs: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mux/mu ... dules.html

PS: Indeed the MFO is not yet integrated into the MuSynth device itself, that's planned, but the MFO and thus sync sounds are ready available using MUX Modular (of which MuSynth is a part).

Oscillator Sync via the MultiForm Oscillator are B E A U T I F U L, by the way! I've played with that extensively and it's quite flawless and - behold I shall say something rare- leaves no wishes open to me! :tu:

Just thought I had to add something! 8-)

No way, you need to think a bit longer :hihi:

 ... :wheee: ... :drunk: ... nope  guess I'm really just happy! :hyper:

I should add a bit more reasoning to make it more clear why I'm so happy about sync via multiform.
You have a great deal of control over the way it deals with the sync effect per "change" from resulting waveform to resulting waveform. You can control if you want AA or how much smoothing (how far a zero fade reaches inward per waveform) or any at all. You can determine exactly to which pitch you want to "Resync".
I suppose, if someone wanted to go totally nuts inside a MultiForm osc, it could be interesting to have a curve for the pitch, similar to the Harmonic filter, but I'm ok with the way it is.
On top of that you can do some stunning stuff with the phase distortion and it's modulation "resync", even if that has not all that much to do with ordinary sync effects, but if you do it right, you can get some similar, but otherwise exciting stuff with it.

So...yeah...I'm pretty happy on that front.

Excelllent all sorted. Thanks for that

Zync Alfa sounds pretty amazing. Thanks for that pointer too 8)

Yes brilliant, playing with the MFO now :phones:

In the next M6.5, when the LFO is in tempo-sync mode, you can also double-click and input the frequency parameter as "1/4", "3/8" etc. It will be automatically translated in the proper cycles-per-beat value.

VERY COOL! :tu: Thanks, Jo!
