I miss "rename" of parameters and the likes, which is something I use constantly on designing the front panel. I hope there's some reasonably easy way to bring this back?

Another thing I noticed earlier already in previous versions:
Midi Mapping strangeness
For example, I have a parameter directly from a module out of the polysynth mux like "Amplifier", dragged onto the front panel. On the front panel then, if I [Map MIDI Controller] it allows me to set what controller I want to use, all is well, no problems there. But if I go to the "Options > Edit MIDI Controller map", those mappings won't show up?
It's not surprising that those "hidden" mappings won't save with the preset and will be gone when loading the preset again.
I'm just curious if that is an oversight or whether there's method to the madness?

Thanks!
I did this..and i hope that adding a new frontpanel is piece of cake in MUlab..intuiative and not a much of a hassle.

Select "Edit Front Panel" and you'll see a grid show up across the whole front panel...now it's "unlocked" so you can edit it.

Oh, more praise I totally forgot to
you for, Jo: ALL CRACKLES ARE GONE!!!

At least the very most important ones I've tested already and it's fantastic!

I got my K-ARP Odyssey last week, so I'm working on this:
And there are a few patches as well - more later.
Comments are welcome...
Edit:
- no Sync
- no S&H LFO
- filter more like type II
- but 4 osc to mix plus effects
- try the osc knobs, i love this implemetation

You can easily and need to do this in the module itself or, when not in GUI edit mode, double click some of the text.Taron wrote:I miss "rename" of parameters and the likes, which is something I use constantly on designing the front panel. I hope there's some reasonably easy way to bring this back?

- Open the LFOrunaudio wrote:when i unlock the front panel then drag and drop a lfo over to it it wont let me add it
- right click on the front panel and select parameter
- with the pointing hand click on the LFO's e.g. Frequency
- done
You can now right click on that usual knob, edit properties and the fun begins

No, you cannot "easily" do this in the module itself, if you happen to edit an existing front panel temp where you have to track down what parameter the mini dial was actually controlling..AndreasD wrote:You can easily and need to do this in the module itself or, when not in GUI edit mode, double click some of the text.Taron wrote:I miss "rename" of parameters and the likes, which is something I use constantly on designing the front panel. Granted, it's a very specific situation, but I'm very used to just dragging the parameters I want onto the front panel and rename them there several times until I'm happy.
Double click on any parameter dial and you'll see that renaming no longer exists during editing and it's odd having to stop editing for that. Right click menu also doesn't offer that anymore and I really would enjoy having that back, you know. When you design the gui and you have a number of different parameters all to arrange, it's quite unpleasant, having to have all original modules open and rename them there. So... ah... I normally don't enjoy saying that, but: My request remains valid!
The group frames have the clever title string gadget at the bottom of their property window. I think it would be well consistent to simply have that on every feature that could get a rename.
But that doesn't take away from the overall GLORY OF IT ALL!

And it brings up the pesky request to have the "Polyphony" gadget available somehow. I know, it's got to be an ugly brainteaser for Jo, but it would add a sense of completeness to the face of a synth's front panel.
EQ Graph and even an filter graph is another thing I've mentioned already, which would really keep kicking it upward, but I'm starting to feel totally awkward asking for more right now, hahaha... man, but with this massive leap, it feels like Jo can handle anything at his current momentum!
