mutools wrote: Just as a general note wrt FRs for more component types on the front panel: When i started on this new front panel system i also hoped for many more component types. But then i encountered certain complexities which i want to avoid at this point, until i find a solid solution for that. So at this point i keep things rather simple and safe. Maybe some more component types can be added in next versions, but i'll stay careful with it so the system stays clean, healthy and future proof. Besides that aspect i also want to release M6.5 soonish and also work on other important MU aspects. Then hopefully the MUX front panel system can be further extended step by step in next versions. Anyway, always feel free to make suggestions. As with other kinds of feature requests maybe i reply on it maybe not, but i do read & evaluate them all. Thx!
Just wanted to say, I like these incremental updates, sometimes small sometimes not so small and the fact you make sure Mulab remains rock solid stable as a priority.
Not had a chance to play with the new version yet but looking at Andreas' Odyssey and SQ4's Robin I like what I see. :tu:

hi this one is for andreas on your Odyessey eg what does that stand for thank you

Thanks, Jo, for your reactions! I understand the midi mapping dilemma now. I keep forgetting how universal MUX is...no problem, I got it! :tu:

As for the renaming, I think, if you had this option in parameter properties just like you have it in group frame properties with the "title" gadget, it would be most elegant and consistent.

Thanks for the shortcut info [E], that will come in VERY handy!!! :tu:

Man, I love what you do. ...I'm so excited to design my upcoming preset! :hyper:

New front panels = awesome :D
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Post

it would be nice if you could change the waveform of the lfo like you can with the multiform osc useing the wave index

Post

I'd much rather have the LFO curve editing as an option for the OSC waveform design. :D

Post

man i wish i could test this more fully but being on a 2004 linux machine, i'm running on thin ice!

Good news is: No crashes thus far under Wine on Linux Mint 17.1 . I'm going to say if it works well here it'll work well on Windows. (Wine doesn't let me use drag and drop or cross window actions so I can't drag module about or event use the panel editor. All in due time though! When I get my windows machine back i'll be having a blast with this!)

There is a new MuLab 6.5.8 test version in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia
Changes since M6.5.7:

Front Panels:
  • Remove Component now is an undoable action.
  • Drag-dropping parameters onto an edited front panel is supported again.
  • Finetuned the text margins of parameter sliders' name/value.
  • Improved behavior wrt the front panel property editors when stopping editing and/or deleting the MUX.
  • When a front panel background picture is not found, the default background is used.
  • Front panel grid size is editable now. See Front panel context menu -> Edit Preferences (was: Edit Common Colors)
Other:
  • New "Audio Level Meter" module. (i.e. meter only)
  • New "Oscilloscope" module.
  • Virtual Keyboard now has an Octave Shift which can also be tweaked using the Page Up and Page Down keys.
  • Fixed a crash bug when dropping an unrecognized file on a rack slot.
  • Removed unintended debugging code that created a temporary picture file on c:/
How to upgrade from MuLab 6.5.7:
OSX: Simply replace the MuLab.app by the new version.
Windows: Simply replace the MuLab.exe + MuLab.ID files by the new versions.

How to upgrade from earlier versions eg M6.4: Make a full new install from the M6.5.7 package cfr the info http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... ation.html
Then apply the new M6.5.8 app patch.

(Oh and thank you for allowing us to choose the time space for the oscilloscope! Really loving it!)

Omg, Jo, haha...that's so awesome! If I hadn't written it here, I would've said you've read my mind, haha!
Awesome! :tu:
The virtual keyboard starts to get serious! I still would add one more key for assignment.
Now it only needs a mod and pitch wheel and it's perfect! ;)
GREAT UPDATE, though! :tu:

One thing about the Oscilloscope. I would add an Event in to it and allow a note to determine the display interval, if only as an option. I hope you know what I mean?! I'm already over the moon, though... fantastic!!! :hyper:

Man, am I happy about having the drag and drop back, that's really nice! It'll also allow me to boast on Mulab's massive drag'n'drop support! :)

Post

taron am all for mod and pitch wheel :tu: and dakkra them channel strips your talking i would to see them when there done as well as everyone else as well
