Maybe the sample filename contains a note name like "D4", that will set the root key for that sample to D4. You can edit the root key of a sample via the sample's context menu -> Edit Properties.runaudio wrote:hi all right when i drag and drop a wav file into the sampler and make a sequence it plays slower than it should any help on how to keep it playing at root key c3 or 4

All samples or a specific sample? If specific, email me one of which you think it is not handled right.

When i load the rex file in a new project all is fine, don't see/hear anything wrong.
When i open your project i see that the rex sample's root key is set to C5 (with middle C = C4)
So of course it sounds one octave down when playing it at middle C.
Why did you set the root key to C5?
If you want original pitch, set it back to No Key, so the default root key is used.
