Hive 1.0 PW Modulation

I can't seem to get the modwheel to modulate pulse width with the new release version of hive. On the mm1 page I set Modwheel to modulate Pulsewidth osc 1 but it doesn't do anything at all. I can't say I am 100% but seems like this worked before? Anyone else having this issue? I am using ableton 9 dunno if that makes any difference.

Just tested it for you, if I assign Modwheel as source and PWM as destination, it changes the width. Make sure to select Pulse in the oscillator though (not Square, as that doesn't want to be modulated).
Also, but you may already know this, if you want the classic PWM effect (with an LFO) to be controlled by the Modwheel, you have to select an LFO as the source, Modwheel in the Via-box, and then the Pulse as destination.

"select pulse" and there is why it didn't work. Haha thanks very much
Square indeed does not want to be modulated.

is this the only way to modulate a pulse from being almost closed in one direction to almost closed in another with mod wheel/lfo ? seems a bit too much modulation. I'm pretty sure this is the only way so what I am saying I guess is add pls add pulse width knob lol although the current set up is handy...that would be much better and for people that never read the manual or watched vids of urs demoing the synth they might not know how to do this. I would think making another small knob pop up next to vibrato when pulse is selected would be more convenient. My two cents. My other 2 cents is this synth is the bomb btw great job Urs!!

Yes (I think). Maybe not the only way, but the only sensible way.djdeftmonk wrote:is this the only way to modulate a pulse from being almost closed in one direction to almost closed in another with mod wheel/lfo ?
And BTW people who never read the manual sometimes should pay the price for "willful ignorance"
