Okay, I'm finally getting around to creating my first preset bank of patches. I do have the latest update as far as I know.
How exactly do I create an SMPB file? I've made some test patches and they are stored in a folder that I named SW Presets, and they do show up in the browser under the bank name that I entered for it, but not SMPB file has actually been created.
So it appears to me that actually creating an SMPB file in order for presets to show up properly in the browser isn't necessary. However, it would be nice if I knew how to do this and also what the purpose of the SMPB file is if in fact it isn't necessary in order to have your presets show up in the browser under the correct bank name.
Just a little confused by this particular patch management system.

Any plans on if / when this would be implemented? I can imagine that this feature would be a good thing for third party bank creators.
