FR: Volume and Pan filter should be able to send MIDI CC 7 (volume) and 10 (balance)

The properties panel for the Volume and Pan filter in Tracktion 6 has an option "Apply to MIDI velocities".

That might be useful sometimes, but for some MIDI patches it might radically change the timbre or sound of each MIDI note, which I don't want.

I am outputting my MIDI track to an external MIDI module, and it would be much more helpful for me to be able to send MIDI CC 7 (Channel Volume) when the volume filter is adjusted.

It seems really odd that this option isn't there already, am I missing something?

Why don't you add (record or write) the CC data in the midi clip?

Thanks frankvg, I can do that, with a little extra clicking, and thinking.

The reason that I liked the option to send MIDI CC via the volume filter was that track volume filter is automatically/easily mapped to a hardware control surface. (I'm using a Novation Automap Universal mixer).

I want to be able to quickly dip the volume of a part while I'm practicing/performing using MIDI backing tracks. I don't want the new volume written in to the MIDI data.

Automap doesn't let me have mixer controls and MIDI CC in the same "template", but I suppose I'll find another way to set up the control surface.
