Just tried it in Cubase 7.07. Same problem. Brought up factory patch. Same problem.Lotuzia wrote:Thanks for the report. Indeed a simple process with few steps.wagtunes wrote:I have no idea which one. Brought up init patch and went to create a simple pad with short attack. Attack parameter has no effect. Decay, Sustain and Release work fine but Attack...nada.
Very odd.
Step 1) Bring up INIT patch.
Step 2) Go to where it says ADSR volume or something or another. Turn Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release knobs. If I turn sustain and decay all the way down to zero, I get no sound, so I'm definitely affected the main ADSR that controls that layer. However, if I turn the attack knob, even all the way to the right, which should make it take longer for the sound to start, it has no effect. Sound starts right away no matter where that knob is.
Hmmm just tried exactly what you said and it works perfectly here. Maybe you should try to relaunch the Syn'X 2, or modify the attack of another preset. Or try it in another daw than Mulab ( though I honnestly dont think it might be a mulab thing, but as I never used that particular daw ... ) Or fill a report form and send it to Xils-Lab , with the usual setails/suspects : Daw/OS/System/versions etc. To see if they can reproduce this. Imho Its very unlikely such a basic bug could have been missed by all the beta testers but well just in case it would be really daw/system/OS specific, or a detail gone wrong in the latest build ...
Just tried it in Reaper 4.731. Same problem.
Those are the only DAWs I own so there's nothing left to try.
I'm on Windows 7 64 bit. I3 processor, 16 gig ram.
Very strange bug.
