Yes, multitimbral plugins usually need to have MIDI channel select feature on them. Monotimbral plugins like u-he's don't necessarily need it.

Tony, delete MIDI programs cache file.

I assume a lot of people already have bought it.
Plus, it is not really that expensive. It depends on where you live and what your income situation is, of course. But in most places where people have the luxury to use such software at all, the price is fair.
After all, you also get a full set of built-in quality effects and likely new features will be added over time.

thanks evil, between that and some interaction with the reaper preset handling where i think i also have to save (maybe i am imagining it) the preset it seems to be working. at least well enough to work for now.

You don't have to save anything in Reaper as far as u-he plugins go, since u-hes have their own preset management...

My preset folders are already a mess, so I would suggest a search function or all the presets should require similar prefixes so that they are easy to find - either the person's initials or the sound type. (Maybe it's already like that and only the old Preview presets are a mess.)

Can I use an operating system file manager to reorganise ALL the presets without breaking Hive's file manager? Alternatively, can I copy all the sounds into a second main folder so that old songs can reference the current file locations and I can use the new folder for starting new better organised songs?

BTW, randomise functions didn't make into the final version? I'd like new instances of Hive to open with a random preset. There are so many presets that it becomes a bit boring going through one at a time.

i didnt save it into reapers save preset thing the first time it just happened on its own and i think later i just went with it rather than fight it.

those presets show up in a bigger font in hive too it seemed.

im gonna mess with it more now.....

The Arp & Seq section should also have the on/off switch/symbol like the effects section.
The layout of the effects panel is a bit irregular and crowded, sometimes the drop-down field is below the effect name, sometimes it is next to it. The preset field seems to be part of the phaser section, not even a line to separate them from each other.

But I suppose that is the price you have to pay for that honeycomb design :hihi:
If it were a rectangular, all the controls of a given effect could be in the line of the respective effect name in the middle and thus move up and down along with the name when changing the fx order.

i will definitely say again that hive is low cpu yet sounds great. after getting it setup in my system, and i had to add another midichords to match it up with too, theres no crackles or problems. that makes 11 vsti's at a 64 samples buffer.

tempting to try and add another but we will see how the gigs go lol.

Thank goodness for the undo/redo buttons. It's NOT fun to spend time on a patch and accidentally scroll to another one without saving ;___;.

How can I modulate the LFO Amount as a destination (mod matrix) with a mod source like an envelope for example ? There is no way to modulate the mod matrix slots, (apart from mod wheel and midi cc) is there any other way to achieve this

Ok i got it..its with the Via feature.
